Exactlyyyy stuff like that is sooo unhealthy to go through during your teen years when you’re still discovering who you are. And the fact that her self esteem is so low also makes her want to put up a front like she doesn’t care. Which makes it easier to feel like she doesn’t care. When you’re not happy with yourself it’s easy to believe that someone who treats you well isn’t good for you because you don’t believe you deserve it.
