What astound me in Loren's vocal style is her artistic culture. Her voice is flawless and is equal of worth in any register. She plays her vocal "instrument" like a great virtuoso. She isn't up for cheap vocal "effects".She treasures and fulfills every note she takes.Every musical newance has a sense. From intimate whisper to powerful, emotional explosion! she doesn't looks and sounds like any other singers - she is just incredible herself! Her mother is an opera singer, her father is a conductor of the city cappella chorus. Music and vocal are in her genes.Her mother wanted Loren to be an opera singer, but Loren have chosen her own destiny. We see the result!

Love Kat . Huge fan from American Idol beginning . Which works nicely because my husband is obsessed with David. Knows everything about his music. You can’t stump him on songs , dates , albums. David did a beautiful birthday wish for him. It meant the world to my husband. We have it on film. He broke down and cried. He had a 26 year Air Force vocal and bass player career to have that wish from David was like the icing on the cake is dream is to be able to meet him and just sit and talk to him someday.

He song Allred sang was a lower key. There’s no one like Whitney Houston and her voice is unmatched by McPhee and Allred. I usually like many of Allred’s performances, but not this one. It felt like Allred was trying to imitate a black timbre and even gestures to the performance. It felt forced, that’s it.
