Bunkai done correctly is very useful self defense and in the street..anyone using wikipedia for reference to the martial arts ...well lets just say wikipedia is very rudimentary info. Forget it!!! As for this Bunkai I give it a 4 out of 10 there is much better out there.

You do not seem to understand the meaning of bunkai. It is basically a form to teach the understanding of a kata. Doesn´t mean that it´s suitable for a street fight.
@Tristan-th7dq10 жыл бұрын
The "form to teach the understanding of kata" is Kata. The application of kata is bunkai, which is supposed to be suitable for a street fight. Are you suggesting Katas and bunkais were never designed to be useful in street fights?
@WHONEEDSAFUCKINGNAME10 жыл бұрын
Kevin Shotokan I do not suggest that Kata and Bunkai were never designed to be useful in street fights. But I highly recommend you to read the following article, especially the second passage en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunkai OSS
