Kataklysm is so underrated! It's insane!!! They are SO DAMN GOOD! I have a been a big fan of them for more than 10 years!

They fell off due to taking far too much time out during each release after 'Heaven's Venom' when they were in their prime. They've only released 4 albums in the past 12 years. They essentially squandered their success after Max Duhamel left the band. Oli is an amazing drummer, but the overall band hasn't been the same since Max left due to him being a MAJOR part of their sound.

Kataklysm were in their pirme when they released 'Temple Of Knowledge' album and they essentially squandered their success after Sylvain Houde left the band. Everything went wrong since then... and since Maurizio (the bassist) became vocalist... Kataklysm in name only... Not as brutal as they were with Sylvain. Now they ended up as a djent metalcore band for the kids.

I love Metalheads. Im a Metalhead Myself, and what I have seen in videos and so with pop artists and mainstream music celebrities, I really think that Metalheads are much more down to earth. Pop artists and so on just seem so up themselves because they have money or make more them Metal bands, and although metal bands seem scary in their music videos and in live performances, once you speak with them you will find the are the nicest, chilled back people. Sure there's going to be one or two metal bands who arent very nice, the majority of them are. Who agrees with me?

you got it right on the point! I totally agree. The mainstream people say "metal is all about screaming death, annihilation, violence and aggression towards others" that's so not true. the metal genre has so many varieties (death, doom, black, thrash, heavy, power...) and the lyrics are for the majority totally complex and you can often interpret them in many ways. I, for myself, learned a lot of english words by listening to metal. On the one hand haters say "it's only noise" but they won't understand two sentences of a metal song

One thing that comes to mind with this band is that they really know how to make heavy music that sounds good. Virtuosity and technicality can easily become musical masturbation that just doesn't sound very good. But Kataklysm knows how to make very pleasing sounds for my ear holes.
