Looking forward to using mine when it arrives, I have that Corona you showed which is a great saw for smaller wood, the katanaboy will be just right for some bigger jobs I have in mind. Great video

Once it’s extended you gotta turn the screw back in to lock the blade

The blade locks out fully when extended. You can't close it unless you press the release lever, and the screw only limits whether you can depress the release lever or not. There are notches cut into the blade pivot point that fall into little cams on the release lever when opening and closing it. (Fully open, 2/3 closed, and fully closed). You have to press the release lever at each point to either open or close the blade because it locks in due to the cams. The knob just controls whether the release lever can be operated.

You are supposed to tighten the screw down it locks the blade in place.

The blade's locked in place when it's open, as there are detents in the cam. Is your saw different?
