It hurts to think that Katarina was treated badly. She is such a talent and a beauty.

Until now she is a big and loved star in Germany. Very well regarded and respected. No one won 2 Olympic Goldmedals in this sport, she stayed so long on the ice, 8 years in competition and so much longer as a professional with her own show. A lot changed in German citizeson in understanding of the old East German goverment and she wrote a book in the 90's, which helps a lot to understand that she was in monetoring from the Stasi since she was a child. She was the last really big Star in this Sport.

She was born there. She really is no different than any of us to believe what we are taught growing up. Then when she became a skater, and not to mention a champion in the making, of course she would be 'supported' by her country! I don't blame her at all. She certainly deserved to win both gold medals and she is the best most beautiful figure skater ever!

She is pretty, successful, totally down to earth and she is always funny and in a good mood. There is nothing acting out with her. Just a real, lovable, East German girl from Gorl Morx Studt, as the Saxons say in their dialect. 😁😊😊😘
