I loved this too. I understand that there are too many great Katatonia songs to react to. But please do some more from what many fans consider their strongest album, The Great Cold Distance. Journey Through Pressure and Dissolving Bonds are too emotionally powerful for words

Sonically Disruptive Dissolving Bonds and Journey Through Pressure are the most powerful from that album

The new guitarist they newly added can shred, that was who you heard Anders does not play like that.

The shred guitar playing is their new guitarist Roger Öjersson I believe. Their other guitarist and founding member Anders Nyström is also pretty good, but I don't think he could shred like this. And even though he's shredding, Roger's solos are still melodious and tasteful which makes them even more awesome. The whole album is great, the only thing that worries me is that it doesn't cover much new musical ground except for the new shred solos and the drumming. This is only the second album for their new drummer Daniel Moilanen and his style already brought a new feeling to The Fall of Hearts but I think he really shines here.

I'm a huge fan of Katatonia. My favourites ones are some of the less reacted songs: Residual, Last Song Before The Fade, Follower, In The White, Leech, the most progressive ones lets say. Checkout those ;)
