Birds have been a constant since their JHVA Elohim Meth days. The opening line of Without God contains the lyrics "human birds watch the sky". Along with cities, it's been one of their most reoccurring conceptual themes (as opposed to themes of depression and darkness).

Katatonia is so different from other bands. The voice so peaceful in the most chaotic and dark atmosphere. I have so many memories from listening this band since years ago. But just because their music was there makes it more tolerable. Sometimes all we have is just an album to go through difficulties and makes so much different than having nothing. Thanks to this band.

I have a sacred friendship with birds, crows in particular, so your music, this song has become very important to me. I struggle to detail in words just how important your songs, your sound have become for me, a lifeline, my therapy, I am incredibly appreciative. Your music allows a space where inner darknesses can be confronted, dealt with, a safe space where old wounds, emotions are revealed and hope, some kind of peace can grow from the scars, a sort of acceptance is born. I have always struggled to find a place in this world but felt music has and will always grant me a safe home, thank you again for this gift, it gives such light, comfort.
