If a band is gonna play and sing reggae music, then do it right, katchafire have got the feel the way reggae should be played, nice heavy bass guitar, one drop bass drum and overlayed with good sharp stocata rythym guitar, keyboard and sweet vocals, perfect mix , old Jamaica style, BIG BAND goin places.

You're exactly right. Too many bands out there playing reggae WRONG. Bands out here thinking just cos they're doing the strum or something they think that they're reggae but it really isn't. I've noticed this particularly in NZ, Aus and Poly bands. They all sound alike. But none of them (with the exception of Katchafire and a few others) actually capture the sound of the original reggae sound that came from Jamaica. Katchafire best reggae band to come out of NZ

Obama Bun Lagin you should listen to Ooklah the moc from Hawaii probably in my opinion is the best roots reggae band from Hawaii and Katchafire is NZ best reggae band and they have ties to Laie Hawaii 🔥🔥🔥
