At last the confident, smart woman Whistler is back walking straight with hands on hips. Talking about " Say something movie the power of love" strategy for interrogation. It's for Kacy to finally talk about their feelings openly in a passive manner, professionally as I say. But they had voiced out their mind and heart in here obviously. They target the suspect's soft spot because they know better where it hurts when hit the most. I love the tension and honesty here, giving up something for someone you love is what Kate did for Lucy. But that suspect is standing up for here woman I think that's Kate needed to win Lucy back they're still so obviously in love.

Brilliant Kate! Brilliant! If this is the only way to get Lucy to listen to her and also get info out of a suspect, then so be it! After Lucy tells Kate she loved(s) her, she knows all is not lost. Kate pretty much gets her answers from both. No wonder the DIA, and FBI, AND Lucy love her so much.

One other thought. It would really be nice if there would be some background provided on both. Lucy is a talker, but not much of a listener. She is also secure in being open about relationships which leads one to think she has good support from family and friends, but has some very rigid expectations. Would be interesting on where that came from in her past relationships. Unfortunately, Kate is not a talker and when Kate told Lucy it was difficult for her to be expressive Lucy said she knew Kate was trying, but didn't ask why. And that leads me to believe Kate had little to no support from family and friends, exception for maybe her brother that unfortunately was killed, so her comfort level is close to zero with being open about her life choices and probably has felt alone and insecure not only personally, but professionally. That too would be interesting to have some background info on how she got there and why Kate is secretive. I must say, for being a TV program, they are doing a good job of showing the struggles of a relationship lacking good communication. Whether heterosexual or same sex, love will always take a beating if both partners can't communicate and understand where each other is coming from. Hope Kate and Lucy figure this out soon.

She had one bad decision and others just followed. Hmmm, so Kate gave up her whole life in DC for Lucy. Lucy’s reaction to that was priceless because now she is wondering what does she mean by that. This scene was a communication between Kate and Lucy in disguise.

Liked this episode. Kate seems more composed and able to hold her own with Lucy. At least was able to express some of her feelings in an offhanded way without Lucy shutting her down. Their relationship in all likelihood will not be resolved next week, but it won't end either. Didn't agree with the comment about Kate making a slew of other mistakes. The only actual one was not breaking up with Cara and not telling Lucy about her. But I don't think Kate cheated on Lucy after coming to Hawaii. There was never any indication Kate had gone back to DC for anything so there was no opportunity for her to cheat. And she has already fell head over heels for Lucy. Turning down the job appears to have happened after Lucy broke it off, so calling it one is just an excuse for Lucy to stay mad and keep the wedge in place. Now we are seeing Lucy doing the same thing as Kate by not telling Kate about the other girl and two dates. She has accused Kate of ruining their relationship, but now she is the guilty party. If Kate offers to leave, Lucy would be the one responsible if she doesn't forgive Kate and realize their love is worth saving. Kate may have work to do, but I think Lucy does too. Love and feelings are very, very rarely black and white. Two people coming from different backgrounds and experiences. That is why every relationship is work. I want these two to work it out. When they have been together their dynamic is amazing and their love palpable. They really do compliment each other. And with Ernie's help they just might get there.

Well said. Pretty much agree with everything you said. Kate wasn’t honest and she was cowardly in not breaking it off with Cara. However, she did not cheat, in my book. If Lucy could’ve got past her deep hurt and anger, and just listened to Kate’s side of the story, they would already be back together. They both need to work on communication. Kate needs to work on being more open and less secretive. She’s getting better, but is still socially awkward, and tends to internalize too much. Lucy needs to be accepting of others. Not so black and white. She can sometimes be a bit judgmental. She doesn’t actively listen to Kate enough, though it’s challenging due to Kate’s secretiveness. They love each other, so they should be willing to work on their problems. Lucy holds too much power in their relationship. Partly due to Kate’s mess up. But also, because Lucy doesn’t realize it, but Kate adores her and wants to give Lucy what she wants. IMO, Kate will defer more to Lucy, in most arguments. I love proud, fierce, and feisty Lucy. She just needs to compromise more. And Kate’s practically my dream woman. They’re meant for each other.
