The mother is embarrassed by who Rana is. Rana was embarrassed by what Kate did. What you wrote was a reach if I ever seen one. Maybe you have bias against same-sex couples or the same hate disorder Rana’s mother suffered from. You gotta seek help.

Damnnn I just realized Kate and Sophie are both really going through it this Christmas 2018. Kate with losing Rana and the love they had for each other. Now Rana is embarrassed of Kate. And her brother not being there. Sophie is dumped by Paula, her mom is put in prison. Tim and her backstabbing Aunt are getting it on with each other. Tim is going to sell her home. They both were the ones that made impulsive decisions that hurt their partners. I think they might turn to each other for comfort soon. Maybe! And if so this will be interesting. 😯
