More than anything, I love that Kate and Rana can talk about the difficult things, because it's who Kate is. She's a straight-shooter and it forces Rana to take off her rose-coloured glasses and really see things as they are. She doesn't always, to start with, but it gives her something to think about. Kate makes her feel as though she can be honest because they'll have a mature conversation if that's what's required. I really hope the writers don't break them up...too soon.
