These melodies (and their names) would fit right in in a retro RPG

The Dreaming really came into my life , took root , inspired my melodic choices and it along with The Kick Inside and Hounds of Love still remains deep inside . You won't find her voice obviously in my string , wind or brass concerti but all these different things make all of us up just like Brahms op.76,117,118 and the 2ndand 3rd piano Sonatas and especially the Ballades and all of his variations are a part of me . Thanks for this analysis .

Imagine KB singing 'Beautiful as the Moon...' just piano & voice!!

Thanks for the video. it was great! The music theory went over my head but I loved your analysis and especially enjoyed it when you played portions of the songs on your piano. Been a big fan of Kate and HOL since the 80s, am enjoying her resurgence and all the different takes contemporary audiences have on her work.

Great stuff! If you haven't already planned it, would you consider analyzing/covering Babushka off Never For Ever? It has a lot of interesting modal interchanges and borrowed chords.

I definitely want to revisit KB for this series! Yes, probably something off Never For Ever, or The Dreaming, those are my two favorites!

This is such a great analysis of HoL! Would love to see you do more videos on Kate’s other stuff. btw, would you be interested in doing similar analyses of Joanna Newsom’s albums?

Thanks so much! That's funny, I've actually been stuck on Have One on Me the past two months. It's mind blowing, I love it.
