It's "Breathing"... I often struggle to name any favorites but the emotional depth of Breathing is very strong. The song is a masterpiece. It might need multiple listens to take it all in. Every Kate Bush song is different though. Sometimes "Moving" is what moves me the most. Some other day it's "The Man With a Child in His Eyes", "In Search of Peter Pan", "Wow" or "Egypt" etc. and those songs are only from her first three albums. Almost an impossible question, this, but if I had to pick just one Kate song, I think I might opt for "This Woman's Work". But I have so many favourites.

Rather my favourite Kate Bush song, I thought that I would list my personal top 4 Kate Bush studio albums, which are as follows: 4 - "The Kick Inside" an absolutely amazing debut album, which include some excellent tracks like "Wuthering Heights" and "The Man with the Child in His Eyes" 3 - "Never For Ever" Kare begins to spread her musical wings, the Fairlight CMI makes its first appearance, Kate is a co-producer on this album and it shows. 2 - "Hounds Of Love" An iconic album which represents the perfect mixture between the commercial songs on the A-side and "The Ninth Wave" concept piece on the other side 1 "The Dreaming" the first album where Kate is the sole producer, it's considered to be Kate's most experimental "out there" album to date, techniques that were used on this album led directly to "Hounds Of Love". Recently the album underwent a critical reevaluation and it's considered to be a key piece of work. I liked it as soon as I heard and used to annoy my parents by following the instruction on the sleeve to play it LOUD. I hope that you decide to investigate Kate's extensive catalogue of excellent material, her voice is unique.

Nice one @DoeDarling & @Andrew a9630 I have loads of vinyl in a cupboard somewhere in the house from my DJ days in the 1980's / 90's ...I will have to unt it out sometime! I have The Joshua Tree album with the ticket stub in it from my 1st big concert on 1st August 1987 - U2 The Joshua Tree tour, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh

Slight correction- Kate has always written her own songs. The difference with "Never For Ever" was that Kate was credited as a co-producer. She subsequently produced "Kate Live On Stage EP" and as a result, EMI allowed Kate to produce her next studio album "The Dreaming" - I suspect that they regretted that choice, but that's another story 😀 (note: The Dreaming is my favourite, but "Never For Ever" isn't far behind). Regardless of EMIs displeasure with "The Dreaming" Kate continues to produce her own albums.
