I literally seen a 12 foot alligator chase Kenan and he pushed Snaggletooth back with a stick. It shows you how dangerous these animals can be and how Kenan treats them with respect.

Hearding boards (or a riot shield type board) that farmers use might be a good diy project to do so you can use them to keep you safer in future whilst securing eggs or just doing work in the enclosures. Bless Momma, she was doing her best to protect her eggs. I've always heard the tips of the snouts are very sensitive. Using a stick to guide their snout away and generally just annoy them by nudging the snouts seams to work well. Also a blocking board helps for extra safety. Great job though that was awesome teamwork guys.

Little tip for the future from a croc keeper! So what weve done is take a sheet of ply wood and made 4"x4" bords that you can attach handles on one side then You and Kate could both go in with them and use them to shield you as a physical barrier but not only that but since it acts as a visual barrier to some degree as well the crocs are a bit calmer.

When I worked in the zoo world we used a square sheet of aluminum with handles on the back like a shield to herd and keep gators away, while another person worked the area.

Get you a few panels of plywood and set them up on hinges to make a type of portable blockade so you can set it around the nest, then she can't see you, your safe, and no one is hurt.
