Kate’s Sabrina Duncan on Charlie’s Angels was my favorite angel. My friends and I would play Charlie’s Angels when we were kids and I would always play Sabrina. Sabrina was the smart one.

She wore that pinky ring and diamond ring on her right hand for just about every episode of SMK. They both speak so fondly of the show in all their interviews. It really is a shame that she was diagnosed with cancer in the 4th season. I think that is the only reason it was cancelled.

Bruce said in an interview that the show would have continued, but Kate’s health wouldn’t allow her to continue. If you notice in the final season her part was drastically reduced.

Why didn't Gary Collins mention that he and Kate had worked together on a Charlie's Angels episode "Mother Angel". It was a funny scene. That would have been a nice thing to say. Instead he brings up the same old cheap rumors about Kate. That was unnecessary and very rude. But Kate is a class act. She handled it with grace. She's wonderful!

I think perhaps, the set for this show was nearby and she went over their after filming for the day and that’s what she was wearing for that particular scene of that episode and just kept it on.

@@juanecalh OK, here's why: A guy who had worked on the Charlie's Angels set says Kate was very nice to people, including the people working on the set who weren't "stars". People liked her. She was more down to earth in many ways. Farrah was very sweet, and she had a great sense of humor in the sense that she'd laugh at everyone's jokes. Jaclyn was also nice just a little shy. The guy says that set was a madhouse. It drove him crazy. Hair and make-up (people) were always flying around between takes, and it drove Kate crazy. Jaclyn wasn't too thrilled about it either. Farrah didn't seem to mind. The girls liked each other. They had wonderful chemistry. Then Farrah left and Cheryl came along. She was sort of a diva and ordered people around. For example she ordered someone to get her a soft drink once, and the poor girl brought her the wrong one. Cheryl got really mad.... The guy says that Kate hated her for that. Kate was a pro - she never treated people like that. Plus Cheryl was a big time Republican and very conservative while Kate was a liberal Democrat. That made things really difficult. He also says that people have to understand Farrah had been a ray of sunshine on that set. She was always so pleasant and happy. Things were different with Cheryl.That creates a LOT of tension, particularly given the comparison. That's the summary. The way that guy said it was quite harsh so I tried to add a softer tone. It seems he wasn't happy about some of the things he had witnessed on that set when Cheryl came along.

@@19CALI_sunnyv The thing I didn't like after Cheryl Ladd got there, seems to me she was trying to be like Farrah, the sex appeal instead of being herself. If you noticed, once she arrived she dressed very self, bikinis and skimpy outfits. Even after Farrah did the pose for the infamous bathing suit and rose to instant stardom, she didn't dress skimpy on the show. Whereas after Cheryl got there, who's the sexiest? The show went downhill after Kate Jackson left. Shelly hack was just terrible. Enter Tanya Roberts, no better. The show should have been called, sexy angles. That's what it seems like they were selling. The original angles were the best.

@@juanecalh Yes, Cheryl wore a lot of bikinis and skimpy outfits. She joined the show a no-name and behaved on that set as if she was a big star. Apparently Aaron Spelling seized every opportunity to put Cheryl in a bikini and other skimpy stuff for the ratings. And she didn’t hesitate to do it. Farrah was seen in a bathing suit only once. Briefly in „Mexican Connection“ when she went undercover as a swimming instructor for a bad guy’s daughter. So when Cheryl came along and instantly did the skimpy outfit thing, Kate soon may have realized that the show was going full throttle T&A. And the scripts kept getting worse, too. Even though she kept asking for better scripts but wasn’t listened to. That must have been very frustrating for Kate. It was more and more about whose the sexiest and Kate didn’t play along with that dumb game. You are right! After she left the show went downhill big time! They tried with more glamor (Shelley Hack) and when that didn’t work out they tried with a bomb shell (Tanya Roberts). These lecherous executives just didn’t get it! Kate Jackson was the glue that held it all together. Without her the show just didn’t work. Absolutely! The original angels were the best. Their chemistry was fantastic. True icons!
