I love when people say things like this as if they know the entire situation. I acted like maddie at 16 and stopped when I left my moms house. I went through some health issues after college and ended up at my moms house at 24. Guess what? The attitude came back and I realized I was mirroring my mom and she was the one with the bad attitude the whole time. Except when I give it back to her she likes to act like a victim. Basically you see one side of things and don't have full context to know why they are the way they are. You aren't in their heads or experiencing what they experience. Which is pretty typical at your age but unfortunately is for people older too. It's better to try and understand the behavior rather than condemn it.

At first watching Kate when she first had the sextuplets, I was like omg shes so mean to Jon or shes such a bitch but I soon realized thru my own experience, a mother who delivering that many children at once and feeling like she is getting absolutely no help, WILL Snap, Esp when she was given NO time off after birth, it was MOMMY Mode instantly. And obviously the network edited her in a way where she came off that way. But watching as long as I have, I can see now how much a damn mother she is, because she is rare, having that many children at once, and creating order in the house, and having help from them at such a young age, she is a freakin super mom to be able to establish that, and I respect her tremendously.

Idk about you but I got the feeling they were self conscious about the sizes they wear and very insecure. That's how I felt. Awkward and they must be even more embarrassed at the fact it's being filmed. Maddys defense mechanism was and always had been be blunt and rude.... she probably is holding in something she's mad about.... we don't see what happens behind closed doors. I was bullied from 1-6 grade as a kid and my mom was a nurse who had to work a lot , When she did I had to go to a baby sitter. I blamed me getting bullied bc of my mom (it would happen mostly at the babysitters with other kids ) And I acted out just like Maddy. Grown women need to be less judgemental and more understanding that anger isn't the first face, there is always an underlying emotion. I’ve always thought that. The sarcastic tough exterior is exactly what I presented like at her age. All a trained therapist would have to do is scratch just a tiny bit below the surface, and they would find a little girl deeply hurt, confused, scared overwhelmed, frightened of the big wide world, lonely, insecure and with a lump in the back of throat often but never letting on. But least of all angry. A little girl who needs her daddy but isn’t close with him and doesn’t know how to repair the relationship, stuck in the middle of her parents separation. A little girl who needs someone in her life (a trusted adult who loves her dearly) to wrap her up in their arms, stroke her hair reassure her that they’re there kiss her forehead and acknowledge that little girl inside that still needs comfort cuddles and reassurance from time to time. Maybe very occasionally tuck her into bed. I know this because I was that little girl growing up. I needed these things more than anything. I used the same sarcastic tough exterior as a teenage girl of 16, still to this day, very very deep down inside me is that emotionally damaged little girl who uses a tough exterior from time to time. I suspect that the only person in this world who Mady has ever truly confided in, or properly cried in front of and truly trusts is Cara ❤️

But, IT just seems like kids are mercilessly unforgiving & loathe some of their parents flaws very much.
