Absolute Genius. Thank you, Kate, for the amazing lyrics, emotion, and raw flow that you give to the world. Every poem is better than the next and I have never once heard one thing I didn't love from Kate Tempest. Absolute Brilliance.

+michele undisclosed I like McGonagall The Duke and Duchess of Dalhousie are dead and buried at last, Which causes many people's hearts to feel a little downcast. I failed to read an abridged children's version of Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. Brainy stuff just doesn't do it for me, Michele! Happy New Year! Keep Truckin' Cheers - Mike

Really superb word crafting and performance. Such written genius paired with passionate spoken word is rare indeed. Kate really has earned the title of poet, and quite clearly has the gift of being a raconteur as well. Cheers! HM, in USA & Mexico

I saw Kate on Random Acts on E4 the other day and I'm rather glad. I absolutely adore her work. Her rhythm is beautiful and her lyrics well thought out. Icarus has always been my favourite fairy tale and this is just stunning. The way she captured the story. I can visualise it perfectly.

Exactly what I said there. The reason she doesn't seem like a poet is because she isn't one.

what is she then...?
@iainrobb207610 жыл бұрын
She's rap artist of some talent who thinks this gives her the excuse to wind up sponsored by every paper in the UK down to our usual media puffery, by showering us with rambling performance poetry that doesn't say anything much and says it sans metre or good free verse, in cliches. Performance poetry is to genuine well constructed poetry what a plate of oven chips and chicken nuggets is to haute cuisine.

His feet kicked the clouds...what a gorgeous playful illustration ....imagery perfection...really conveys the spirit within Iccarus...heed the warnings of your father, go your own way but take with you not warnings that were spoken to block you or to stop you from spreading your wings and making your own way...but to use like a map of those who flew before you and met with certain death...the death of a dream, the death of innocence that sparks fearless endeavors to flight and the end to possibilities. It is BECAUSE our happiness is possible in the hopes that those who have yet to embark will do so better longer and be completely victorious in all pursuits. Adding to that map of already chartered territory leaving only the blank spaces to be filled with endless possibilities and triumphs.

Kate Tempest is every parents best possible hope and dream...that their child is fearlessly vocalizing all that is in their heart, that their child has such a sharp and brilliant mind that their child is articulate and passionate and speaks the truth without hesitation that their child is so aware of their own value worth and awesome existence without question and is such a loving giving individual cannot silence what is in their soul out of love for their fellow man this earth and this universe and for love of themselves cannot imagine smothering selling out conforming and disowning their own good character by strangling smothering themselves into silence betraying themselves into a lifetime of regret and remorse and emptiness. There is no greater comfort in knowing your child has grown to value all that cannot be sold or bought or purchased...the priceless thing that even the most wealthy greedy powerful people remain green eyed over....a good kind loving purity of a loving kind soul....good character...truthfulness and honesty....those who walk in the light illuminate the path for others lost in the dark..for this reason and so many others too many to list, i am grateful i found Kate Tempest she is the exclamation point to our collective concerns beliefs and compassion.

@raflo47767 жыл бұрын
all stories are reworked myths or combinations of much older stories.
@isa_blends5 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? Every good artist has to take inspiration from the past. Stories are told and retold to make us remember past wisdoms. Homer's Illyad and Odyssey are "retelling" myths that were part of an oral tradition for hundreds of years.
