Not kidding, my sorrow at Silja leaving was _more_ than made up the moment I realized it's Magnus backing her up in this song. I love her voice, but opposite to it, i think there was a period she overworked it and before this period she has more precise voice. Of course hope i am wrong and I hope she is careful with her voice. But no matter if it was before or now she has great voice and she is a music genius. Love her music and her personality too :). This cover is so great:).

Former voice major here. The human voice is the last part of the body to physically mature, usually between 25-27 years of age. I think she's just about reached that age, so as her voice matures, it's going to get better and better as long as she is taking time to rest and use proper techniques that support proper voice function

I used to listen to this song regularly with a bunch of college friends that ended up not being friends anymore... For a while after, it hurt to hear this song because I would think of the good times we had and how they were gone now. I would have never expected one of my favorite artists to cover this song and turn it into something so ethereal and light. It sounds crazy, but it felt like Aurora was almost begging me to come back to the song and learn to enjoy it again, but in a different way. I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't permanently cut off a song you used to enjoy because of other people ruining it for you.

omg!! i feel exactly the same as you, it happened to me the same, i used to listened to this song so much, and it brings me so much nostalgic about that moment of my life, and i stopped listen it, when i saw that she made a cover i was like no wayyyyyyy, and i love it and i just went back to listen the original song to just enjoy it and forget about the sad things and only to remember the happines that it gave me in the moment.

I was super hesitant to click on this, because i thought that the song wouldn't fit her style... So glad i finally did, it's a completely different vibe but it's so magical, makes Rasputin sound a bit more innocent. (Oh, and who is the backup singer? He's so good, his voice fits perfectly)

Never have i ever thought Rasputin will be incredibly good in Aurora's style. She turned a disco song which i love since my childhood into a ballad and makes me love it more. This cover of her is just SOOO GORGEOUS!!!

Essa musica marcou a minha infância, eu cresci na periferia de São Paulo, com meu ultimo 5 Reais e comprei CD Boney M, e ouvia essa musica as pessoas me perguntava que musica era aquilo porque Boney M era década de 80 e 2006 um adolescente ouvindo essa musica era algo estranho... I imagine Aurora’s dream-like voice being the force of the tide. Nothing so loud and noisy as the waves, but the seismic intensity of pulling billions of billions of gallons of water from one end of the earth to the other. A mover of mountains, a nearly intangible force.

The song is about Grigori Rasputin who was feared he was considered a mystic and self-proclaimed holy man who befriended the family of Nicholas II , the Russian people turned against him, he was known for his sexual relationships with woman and being drunk , he was killed by Assassins ( died December 1916 (aged 47)
