Kate is an amazing actress indeed. So, no wonder she is capable off showing this huge range in emotions in real-life too, like here on stage appreciating Boyle and Rickman. Meaning, beyond the humor and wit, being able to move you. Alan Rickman truly remains one of the finest actors of his generation in English cinema. It's no wonder to see Kate's genuine tearful reaction as a consequence. Rickman was a good human being in real-life too. A huge heart.

Alan was a wonderful man and I'm so glad she said something about him to that crowd. I was at TIFF 2014 where he stood beside her, grinning ear to ear, when she told the story of being scared of him at first. He'd be smiling at this too. This leaves me even more heartbroken about Alan, if that is possible.

I fell in love with Alan Rickman after watching Sense and Sensibility.. one reason was his voice that I think is one of the best voices in Hollywood.. the other reason was the scene in which Kate was very sick and he was in such a condition outside her room that he was feeling that he can do nothing for her and want to do something rather just standing helplessly.. he asks Emma that gives me something to do.. the way he said that fully describes his feeling.. finally, when he came back and Kate was recovered, the way he looked at her and then when she says him thanks the way his facial expressions changed is one of my most favorite scene in the movie.. I love how Kate is missing and remembering her in this clip.. their bond was great..

I loved him in Truly Madly Deeply, I saw it years ago…. Then he was 3 very memorable bad guys and I realized how great he was! Sense & Sensibility sealed it for me, and he was so perfect in it!! I just love her she's so naturally dramatic, it just flows right through her. Sometimes you know an actress is fantastic on screen and then you see them in an interview or something and they don't seem to have the energy you saw on the screen. Not so with our sweet Kate. I know its been 2-3 weeks since he's been placed in Gods heaven, but I still cry over him being gone. even heating his name just gets me so down. but he was I know just another human being and I didn't know him personally but growing up and watching his career I knew him sprititually and through his amazing work. God, I have loved her since Heavenly Creatures, and I love her even more now. Her beauty combined with her shining personality -- just smashing. Seeing that spontaneous outpouring of emotion was beautiful, and she showed us that Mr. Rickman was a great actor and an even better man.
