The second she said “As a woman” i sropped seeing her as an actor and began to see here as a daft activist… Just shows how destructive identity politics is…If you want ANY respect never ever start a sentence with “As a (insert identity)”

It should have been a film I would love. But I didn’t ….I found it over acted and surprisingly 2 dimensional. Yes she drank a lot and smoked yes she took important pictures but I never warmed to her in this film. All seemed a bit unengaging. Sorry

I agree, just saw the movie. The script is all wrong, the structure of it as well. Also the annoying music accompanying some harsh scenes dit not help. It blocks the ability for the viewer to feel anything at all. And last, but not least..that ‘old woman’ makeup was the worst we’ve seen in years. It looked like a party store mask, her eyes were still young. I guess Lee deserves a more daring and provoking movie than this boring film. What a shame.

Also this new trend where multimillionaires whinge about exactly how many years it took their film to make, so they can attract Oscar voters, is getting old. All films take a very long time before the production and release, especially independent films. "I can't believe it!!!!!" "You're so not worried about vanity!!!"... just fluff.
