You know, a 24 hour writeathon could help a lot in hitting that 5k in 7 days goal. I will keep suggesting the 24 hours of writing until you do it again haha, because I really enjoyed it when you did it last time. Week 2 went well for me, I had a few days with no writing but made it up on the other days. I am absolutely an introvert through and through.

I am such an introvert and the pandemic has made it even more prominent. I'm not used to being super social anymore so even two days in a row of having to be "on" with friends completely wears me out. I need my time alone at home to just recharge and relax.

7:15-7-18 oh if only I could do the entire month of nano this fast 😂 It’s so cold up here in the northeast so seeing your clips of Disney with ppl wearing t shirts (!!!) makes me want to travel so badly but I, too, am an introvert and by extension, a big homebody so the only traveling I’ll be doing this year is visiting my sister in NYC! Also, LOVE hearing about Project Death again!!

So um..I actually "won" NaNo on the 16th. But my real goal for November was to finish the draft I'm working on. I'm in the middle of the finale section but my characters threw me for a loop and got off outline so I'm meandering trying to find my way back on outline. Needless to say I'm struggling to find the end.

I have that exact same journal! Love it! I've been working doing content writing which is way more time consuming than I thought. I still have more work but I tried to do a couple of night sprints (owl here). I'm so far behind I'm resetting my goal to 25K (I wish I could change it on the Nano site but of course it won't let me).

Definitely introverted lol. But so far I'm on track to win my first ever NaNoWriMo >.< It's really the first time I committed to buckling down on a story. I'm not a routine person, but I'm realizing I really needed it---none of my drafts were evolving, and honestly, neither was my writing. I'm so glad I tried it this year. Will def do it again

I am definitely an introvert and as I get older I've definitely been appreciating weekends at home with no plans more and more. I do normally enjoy seeing family but when I have a lot of goals to hit and know traveling will be painful, I definitely look forward to it less. Thanksgiving is going to be a challenge! (Driving 6 hours (time if I didn't have little kids with me) with two kids so it'll probably take twice that long)

I feel you Kate. While I love going.iut and doing things and spending time with my family, I also find it exhausting. I am very much the introvert. I love my alone time with my writing which is also why I tend to become upset or testy when I don't gst my writing time or am unable to write. It's ways nice to return home from doing those (while happy and exciting) things, also exhaust me and home is always comforting when the fun is over

Hi Kate. I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the first time and today I'm at 38,408, which is a little a head of schedule, but with Thanksgiving looming, and the prospect of writing looking dim for a few days, I'm not sure that I will "win". Although my ultimate goal is to complete my first draft by Dec 7, so I guess I really better "win" NaNo if I want to reach the end of my story. I am an introvert, so gatherings drain me and big events don't interest me at all. I've been only too happy to join events over Zoom and not be pressed up against other people or forced to make "small talk".

I thought I could get some words in while recovering but the cardiac nurses were always in my room lol. I totally understand abou the personal space. I kind of need time to recoporate but I can't be left alone right now unless it's in bed or recliner with my phone near me.

I'm not doing NanoRWrimo but I did use it to write more of my comics scripts. I was able to write the first draft of 6 chapters of one story and now I'm on the second draft of another story's chapters. So the month has been going well. ^^ However now at the end of another week I've realized I could've used the month to write the novel I've been wanting to write about a magical girl fighting dream demons....oof.

Personally, I'm so far behind on the goal that I've just decided to take a few days to finish my outline. I'm stuck right now because I rushed in with half an outline at the beginning of NaNo. Once I have that done I'll get back to writing, but with the goal of finishing by the end of the year. Having a finished draft by 2022 is just as exciting to me as having 50k at the end of November. Next year I can hopefully learn from this experience, give myself more time to build the outline, and set myself up for success :)

I also have so much trouble doing blocking, lol. I will read back my work and be like 'wait, he was sitting three seconds ago, why is he now across the room?' Also, unfortunately the first week was my best week, I have been writing a few words a day just to get the 'write every day' badge but I have not hit par for a while. But I am undeterred! As far as family time, my family very rarely celebrates holidays/birthdays on the day, just because of work schedules, so I have no idea when 'Thanksgiving' will take place, lol.

Week 2 did NOT go well for me. I got sick and couldn't focus enough to write for about 4 days. I'm at 21.5K words and seriously worried about being able to hit the 50K. On the plus side, I found the perfect OnStage (actor/celebrity that looks like my internal picture of a character) for the love interest in my story! I now have one for my Big Three! (MC, Villain, Love Interest) And yes, I am a one hundred percent, dyed-in-the-wool introvert!

Okay so my nanowrimo got stuck on October 31st and I couldn't update the date and tbh that *and an argument with a Friend) really set me back that first week. So I'm gonna restart in December and hopefully find a different way to record my word count.
