Katelyn Ohashi is GORGEOUS on beam. Not artistic. Are you kidding me? Pointed toes, beautiful leaps, beautiful mount, great connections, and insane difficulty. Which she manages to do without a hundred wobbles. What else do you want. Tell me whose better right now? No one!!

Awesome. I know she missed a couple of small connections, but she is getting more and more consistent with hitting the big skills. Can't wait to watch her grow over the next quadrennium!

She's soooo good for such a young age. This girl is gonna rule in a couple of years. I can see the future of usa's gymnastics in her. I would bet all my money that she's gonna be a world champion and even an Olympic champion.

Well sadly she did not become an Olympic champion but an NCAA champion.

I agree. I believe the age limis are absolutely necessary but damn, some times they are so annoying

It's such a shame that she is too young for the Olympics, she would be such a great asset. Her series is absolutely gorgeous!

Amazing Young lady, by far my pick for the 2013 Worlds All Around Champion! It's really exciting to see yet another Talented Diva (meaning skill wise) from WOGA!

She would have to be 16 this year. I agree natsutter, she's incredibly solid for being so new.

@canyousayscrewed You have to be 16 in the olympic year, unfortunately Katlyn is 15, she missed it for a few months
@NewYearsBaby0112 жыл бұрын
actually a few days, last year for worlds Gabby just made it in by a day. I feel sorry for the gymnast that are peeking within the next year and the year after b/c they they will less likely miss the olympic team for Rio 2016

They have to turn 16 the year of the Olympics

Yea agree. There were more obvious wobbles than Nina's. But then again, the scores at American championships tend to be a little more inflated than international ones.

what i dont get is kyla ross is still 15 and she turns 16 in october

She can go to the Olympics as long as she turns 16 in the Olympic year

You have to turn 1 the year of the Olympics. So by those rules Kyla Ross is old enough to compete in the Olympics!

They would most likely give her the layout full with a body position deduction. She doesn't pike till the end.

The US keeps producing great beam workers, but i wish they would show more artistry, here the routine looks so packed with difficult skills and connections that there's no room for artistry.... it's called artistic gymnastics in the end!!
@raras88911 жыл бұрын
don't blame the US for everything... I haven't seen any real interesting Russians sets lately. Besides Afanasyeva that is.
@Snowbunnybelle11 жыл бұрын
Yes what they have works, but at times it's undeniably painful to look at because of the complete lack of artistry. At the Olympics they won because of their difficulty and consistency. As far as technique goes they're all average at best and they have a tendency to be a bit mechanical on beam. Consistent, but a wee bit robotic. This is artistic gymnastics not power tumbling. Besides Katelyn I haven't seen a U.S. BB worker with any real sense of elegance or artistry.
@tanesdeklerk51268 жыл бұрын
Snowbunnybelle if they do lots of dance move it will take up her time so she won't be able to fit all her skills in which means lower start value
@johanarteaga76226 жыл бұрын
Dude artistry doesn’t give you points to increase your difficulty, have you read any CoP? And looking mechanical doesn’t is going to give points away from the e-score
