Today I wanted to share with you some of my top tips for making your home smell fresh, clean and inviting! It can sometimes be a worry that your house might not smell as fresh as it could, especially when you have pets and kids! So I thought I'd share with you some of the ways I try and make our house smell as good as possible!

If you put a capful of fabric conditioner in a spray bottle and mix with water it's great to use to clean laminate floor (light spray then wipe) or any hard flooring. Also wipe tissue dipped in fabric conditioner on light bulbs makes room small amazing

I don’t use the zoflora on my clothes but I do put it in my wash with just towels and bedding in also I clean my radiators down with it too and then when they go on it smells lovely! Literally love the stuff 😂 xxx

wow..sure your place smells great! But it's all unhealthy petrochemicals!! Indoor air quality is in a lot of homes more polluted then outdoor air! Something to keep in mind! In our previous home I used to burn a lot of Yankee Candles and my air filters for the central air in the house were pretty disgusting and the tech said it's the candles!! so if I wouldn't had a air handler w. filter all that gunk would of been in our lungs!! Something to keep in mind! If I do burn candles now I look for 100% beeswax or soy w. essential oils!

For all purpose cleaning I only use water and vinegar with a few drops of essential oil. Non toxic unlike Zoflora, which has a lot of chemicals in it.

Method is my favourite cleaning product, I bought the Rhubarb scented multipurpose cleaner on Monday and have almost used it all already, I am obsessed with the smell, my downstairs is open plan so cleaning my kitchen with it makes my living room smell amazing too. Plus I’m nesting, so being non-toxic is safe for me to spray everywhere 😂

Hayley Cummings Hi Hayley I agree wholeheartedly with you . Method produces are superb. I also use tea tree essential oil diluted with ten drops to one litre of cooled boiled water in spray bottle to clean handles of my doors. Would you believe also the bottom of my shoes to.

I love zoflora and have been using it for years, I first discovered it at my work and since then I haven't stopped using it! I use it for everything but 1 hack I love is soaking a blue thin cloth in your fave zoflora scent and putting that in the bottom of your bin!! Xoxo😘😘😘

I been using Zoflora for ages,a capful in the loo scents the whole room. Supermarkets have their own brand of Febrezze which are cheaper, Ive found they work just the same

I know stuff like Zoflora and fabric softener smell nice but breathing them in is harmful, especially for young children, I go crazy with it in the bathroom but using on radiators or as air freshener like mentioned in some of the comments aren’t worth the risks

I swear by zoflora. I use it eyuvery day on everything .linen fresh and lavender are my faves .I wash my nets in it too .lavender and iris diffuser from tesco smells amazing to and is very calming .

Some great tips Kate 😊 I'm an Aromatherapist so I use my diffuser alot. A great blend to freshen a room up esp. after cooking is 3 drops each of tea tree, lemon and lime essential oils. Also, another good method is to put orange or lemon peel in a simmering pan or slow cooker. This is really nice at Halloween as it makes the kitchen smell orangey. Just don't forget it's on the stove as I once went to a school assembly and left the pan on and nearly burnt the house down! Lesson learned though 😊 x

Also it turns cloudy in water, that means it’s *NOT* safe to use around cats! It poisons them and they can absorb it through their paw pads.

julie Wallis Hi Haley, I agree with you it is not safe around cats to use any disinfected that turns cloudy. Years ago I watched a documentary on lions in a zoo and it stated that it can transfer to their paws and be detrimental!

My late mum always used Zoflora and I still do, it's great stuff. My only worry is breathing in all the chemical nasties. I do tend to use lemon slices in the dishwasher and on stainless steel, or Method products.

Amazing vid! I like to put the small reed diffusers like £1 primark ones in my coat and shoe cupboards and wardrobes! They work a treat for small areas! The rhubarb and lemon one is highly scented too

I use zoflora instead of febreeze you can use it on fabric sofas and curtains works much better than febreeze I have never had a problem with it damaging anything but please check on an inconspicuous area first if you try this xxx

When I take the vacuum apart and clean all the filter I like to pour a little zoflora on it and rinse it off and once the filter has dried overnight and is ready to use again, it makes the room smell nice whilst you vacuum :)

I am dubious about the products as they are full of chemicals. Check the ingredients. I use essential oils on dried flowers and open the window to circulate the aroma. Clove essential oil is beautiful. Did you know yankee candles burn black smoke? Soya or natural waxes are much better for your home. Thank you for the video.

Ha ha I watched Lydia too - so funny when they went on a Zoflora shopping fest!! I'm always opening windows - I'm a great believer in this as it keeps the bugs away! Windy days - open them all for five minutes and blast the whole house with fresh air. We hardly ever get colds ( compared to my sister in laws house - she never opens her Windows and the kids are always off school and they're all constantly sniffing and sneezing)! Zoflora is a good disinfectant product and pleasant to use but I have never had the scent last longer than 10 minutes. I dont know why people keep saying that the scent lasts for hours because it just doesnt. I have used it in every way, in the toilet tank, in the sink, in the drains. I have mopped the floors with it, I have used it as a spray. The scent does NOT linger and your house will NOT smell of Zoflora hours later. I wish people would stop lying.

You can get vaccum disc things to go into your filter of the Hoover and they smell for ages. They are called the vac disc vac freshener I use the summer meadow one and it's amazing. Super cheap aswell. Xx

I like to dip a cloth in a little bowl of diluted fabric softener and rub it over light bulbs; when they are switched on, the heat makes the smell permeate the room. Ecover fabric softeners also smell amazing 😊 as a bonus the range is both kind to skin and the environment.

I've been around Zoflora for around 30 years, it's something that's passed down generations I think haha.. with regard to scent beads, don't they clash with the scent of the fabric conditioner? Do you have to think about what sort of new scent you're going to produce by having 2 strong odours? Method is great when you can get it on offer :)

Chocolate chip cookie dough freezes really well! Just freeze the raw dough in cookie size balls and when you want cookies or cookie smell you just bake them straight from the freezer!

I used to buy Febreeze all the time years ago, made such a difference. But then it went unawailable in my country for along time, then when it was awailable again I just can't seem to find that good smell again. It was so fresh and nice, I am thinking they must not be selling the one I used to buy. Wish I could find it again.

Adding a few drops of vanilla extract to your oven and then putting it on makes your home smell amazing! Quicker and easier on the hips Haha! Xxx
