It really takes time to learn when to build AD or when to build AP, if you're just starting out katarina i would only build AP until you get the hang of her and start to understand her matchups and when its right to build ap or ad

@@xperxts7598 its not that hard, if your team is full ad and enemy team comp is squishy go for ap, if one of these conditions aren't true, then go ad.

I've been learning Katarina, just for this patch. I'm not at any wildly crazy stage of learning her, I'm just trying to understand her kit and how it works, and how I can utilize it as much as I can. Honestly, Kraken is amazing, but I also tried something stupid, where I did Bloodthirster and Lethal Tempo. I can't say it's better than Conq but it's definitely there with how easy it is to stack 6 stacks of Lethal Tempo and then have a better scaling ult. Just makes her extremely squishy of course.

From my experience during the first week of the patch, I had the best results with : 1) Kraken (excellent ad + on hit item, synergizes with Conqueror) 2) Guinsoo (mandatory) 3) Nash tooth (ap increase the DMG of kraken and all your skills + more on hit DMG) 4) Static shiv (scales with AP too, and you have so much attack speed that you proc it 3 or 4 times during your ult (yup, your ult or your E procs the energize effect ) ) 5) Rabadon? Or any adaptative item

I'm starting to think that no matter whether you go AP or AD Kraken and Rageblade should be a part of every build. They both just give everything Kat could want, the hybrid pen on Rageblade especially is just disgusting

Yeah rageblade mythic pasive is just grossly overtuned imo. Sunderer had about the same but a bit weaker to begin with and they nerfed it down to 3 & 3 instead of 5 & 6 like rageblade has and sunderer is still the strongest mythic in the game.

Kraken guinsoos is bugged atm, when charging up guinsoos passive(first 4 auto) it only takes 2 auto for kraken to proc after takes 5 auto

krakens has a bug with rageblade, you don`t activate it as it must be when you buy both items, so krakens does less damage than it should

Try the R nuke build Items : BotRK, Guinsoo, Wit's End then flex (GA / Shieldbow / Collector / LDR / Black Cleaver / BT) Runes : Lethal Tempo then standard You just live to delete someone :d and then be deleted in the process x)

Hey, have you ever tryed going longsword/refillable, then on your first back you get corrupting potion. its a insane item on katarina. increased healing because no mana, and 20 dmg on hit for 15 sec on 3 charges.

that is not how that works and one test is practice mode would have told you that. corrupting dot damage is not applied as an onhit. the damage only applies at the standard interval. also the healing isnt increase for manaless champions but the dot damage is increased. I have absolutely no idea how you came up with this, cause litterally nothing in the item description implies ANY of this.
