i totally know, waht she means about the addiction to maedchen in uniform. it was the same for me. i started watching it every day and sometimes twice a day. it was for that matter the same with loving annabelle!

Katherine, you are amazing and thank you for bringing us "Loving Annabelle". It was truly amazing love story between two women. However, it would have been great to see an extension of the ending and actually see Annabelle and Simone living together at the beach house. Would this be a possibility to do, even if it means transforming Simone, even though she (Diane Gaidry) has since passed away.????????

Oh my god I knew she was inspired by this movie. I first saw Mädchen in Uniform and after that Loving Annabelle and it was SO SO obvious to me that this story had to be heavily inspired by Mädchen in Uniform. Yes it was a risqué movie to make during the 30´s but I think back then, before the war it wasn`t a heavily tabood movie. There is a remake movie made in the 50´s with Romy Schneider as the character Manuela which is very close to the original from the 30`s but there the headmistress was even more strict.

yeah, i don't know but it seems as if both previous films are doing some kind of voodoo shit on us girls, because i am madly going insane watching both these movies every sec i get loll...i want it to stop!! it has done something to me no other film has been able to do. I mean, i saw Loving Annabelle first not having a clue there was these previous gems out there. I was hooked on L.A. but netflix put out Maechen In Uniform 1958 and have fallen madly over Lilli Palmer, and Romy Schneider...

....I am in love with LILLI PALMER!!! loll...also love the 1930s version, such a hot teacher..
