Ahh... yes, she's gorgeous to look at. And she has a voice to melt for. And now with DWTS she's proven herself to be "the best celeb dancer ever" on that show per the judges and folks like me. And above all, she's smart and she has such a quick witty mind and humor. Several of her responses to Piers cheeky questions just cracked me up. And even above all that she has a warm gentle soul loaded with integrity. What a woman!

I can't believe how brutal Piers Morgan is. I know what Katherine means (assuming we have the same understanding): I'm a writer and want to be a professional fantasy writer and being a best seller would be amazing, but for people loving my stories and appreciating my work, not for the riches it would bring me and my family. Yes, it's lovely to have plenty of money, but that's the bonus. Those who do it for the money aren't as successful because their heart isn't properly in the art.

I can actually prove that she said those words. It's in her interview outlined in a Daily Mail article from 20 September 2009 (article-1214150). Also, in this video she says she was telling at the party she was "studying opera" when her major wasn't opera.

I trust you on that, and yes, you are right by saying that opera singers are fat and ugly she is justifying why she isn't one. Other crossover singers - Brighman, Groban - have always been very open about not being opera singers (Brightman laughed and said "I'd need twice the voice I have", Groban said he admired very talented men and women who sing in opera but he isn't one of them), KJ insults real opera singers. Her fans don't understand that this is why she attracts such a negative reaction.

If Kaff doesn't call herself an opera singer, 1) why doesn't she correct the writers and TV shows who call her one, and b) why doesn't she stop singing operatic arias in the wrong key? If the cap fits as they say.

Actually, a "classical singer" is someone who has a voice and training similar to an opera singer (though the voice may or may not be a little smaller, or it may be as large) but who specializes in art song - this is different from opera, but very difficult in its own as it requires a very nuanced interpretation, great understanding of composer's style, and yes, art song recitals aren't amplified. Also, KJ constantly puts down opera singers, she calls them "fat and ugly".

She may not have called herself an opera singer, but in her interviews she perpetuated the myth of opera singers being fat and ugly, she also implied that the reason she didn't have a career in opera is because she is beautiful and slim and opera singers are fat and ugly. She also claimed she studied opera when her actual degree was in teaching of music - an entirely different major.

There are thousands of great voices in the UK who you will never hear. There are people in music college now who could sing the pants off Kaff, but they will never make the money to support themselves financially. Being successful and famous has very little to do with actual ability. Think. What if every talented singer was rich and famous? Don't you think there are hundreds who never get a break? Why do you equate fame with excellence?

Of course she knows she's pretty. She sees herself in mirrors and pictures each and every day. Doesn't mean she necessarily believes her looks make her BETTER than anyone else, and if she's half ways intelligent, she does know this. Looks are "nice to look at", but when all is said and done, not worth much. I happen to believe Katherine is a decent person who hasn't let fame go to her head. Would be nice to think so, at least.

No, actually. Get your facts straight about Kaff's background before accusing me. Piers was her publicist, now she uses Liz Rosenberg who was behind Madonna's sex book and Erotica. I am a very good opera singer. I know people who studied with Kaff, and they know she is an overrated fraud. Real opera singers do not get paid what she does. Do research. :)
