One of the most wonderfully gifted voices of the 20th century. I try not to listen to this piece/her rendition, because everytime I do, I end up crying. But that said, this rendition is unparalleled. God bless you Kathleen Battle!

I was lucky enough to hear her in recital several times in Toronto and elsewhere, in addition to performing with orchestra. She was absolutely stunning in everything, and often did spirituals, sometimes with no accompaniment, as encores. She kept the audience in spellbound silence with the stunning beauty of that voice and expression.

She was one of the greatest voices at the Metropolitan Opera House! Hearing her sing live was a blessing. When she left the house we all cried! The deception, the backstabbing, the jealousy…the racism Horrible! We love you KB 🙏🏻💕
