Amazing!!!! They told the story of scandalisation so well😅 or shall i say the shock and disdain that follows. I love the feminine touch - this is exactly how we gist. Amazing voices! Beautiful delivery

Magnificent rendition of this seldom heard Spiritual. Sound quality is very vivid. I think this concert was around Spring of 1990.

How I love Sis Kathleen's beautiful soprano voice, and what she is singing of! These are Negro Spirituals my late mother would play and sing when we kids were small! I love her!!!❤

Great God Almighty, Sis Jessye tore that song up, didn't she!!! Glorify Jesus Christ, Jessye!!!❤

I listen to this piece often and it never fails to give me goosebumps every single time! It's an extraordinary arrangement, Hubert Laws is brilliant and Kathleen Battle wrings every drop of emotion in breathtaking voice.

Sweet! As someone else has written, that last note she delivers in "Swing Low" is, indeed, "a bar of pure silver." And her voice was made for the second number. The best performance of that song!
