The reason the gays love Kathleen is because she always has "Strong Mom" energy while having the voice of a Strong Daddy.

I served her in a restaurant once when I was a waiter. She was great. Smoked and swore non-stop. She was with Sarah Jessica Parker who kept apologizing for Turner. 😂

If you love her voice as many do, I highly recommend her memoir, "Send Yourself Roses" 2008. This was a few years before her health struggles began, so she's very expressive throughout, and it's hard to shake the mental image of getting my bedtime story read to me by Jessica Rabbit.

Romancing the Stone was a very good movie, much better than it could have been, and the acting was a big part of it's success. The sequel was also solid, and had even less right to be, it's almost a miracle how well those two movies aged (I watched them randomly a bit ago because they were on Disney+ and I remembered liking them).

I gotta say, how on Earth can Kathleen Turner and Jon Lovett be the same height? In my memory of watching her films, she always seemed to tower over her male co-stars like an Amazon warrior. Is Michael Douglas simply a pocket sized human? Has my sense of scale been completely wrong all these years? I'm so perplexed

Her saying gay men need to stand with women really struck me, but it goes far beyond Roe VS Wade. Too many gay men are part of shaming and smearing women simply defending their rights or even having the temerity to say that a woman is an adult human female. Lovett gives me the impression he’d be one of those gay men too. We can’t support women by denying what they are.
