My heart literally hurts so bad for Kathleen. It just breaks my heart knowing how bad her anxiety is, and I can only imagine the pain, hurt, and regret she's feeling right now. I'm usually a silent subscriber, but I feel like I just need to comment. 100% what she did and said was wrong, but it's just so horrible that this one mistake could really harm her career. I am not accepting Kathleen's apology on behalf of those who were genuinely affected and hurt by what she said, because it's not my place to do that. However, I believe that we've all made mistakes and said things that would undoubtedly put us in this same position or worse if we were in the public eye as well. For those who are truly hurt and offended, I feel for you, especially those who looked up to Kathleen. I know you must be really disappointed, and of course you have the right to be. Rachel Joh I thought exactly the same thing about her anxiety when this happened. I think it's really a big issue and it's a really unfortunate situation but at the same I feel like I just know how hard Kathleen is being on herself and I feel SO bad. It's not my place to accept or reject your apology because, like others of non-African descent, we have no say because we have the privilege of not being personally attacked by that word. Giselle Ruby she would love it, i think. She has a lot of heat damage though because she straightens her hair so often so it has lost its curl pattern on the ends of her hair. If she were to go heat free for a year or so, she would see the difference in her curls and I think she would look so wonderful with her natural hair.
