The "i am i said" just broke me into tears. What an honest, humble, transparent soul. Neil gives all of us permission to be scared, to try, to struggle, to search, to dream, to reach, and to express all our deep inner feelings. He to me is an angel, the ones talked about in the Bible that are right in front of us and we don't know they are really angels, not quite human. I love Neil as a child loves a father...may all your days be filled with glorious light my fellow sojourner. You are my true inspiration to keep loving and living and giving all the days i have left.

I love this section of The Late Late , Neil comes across as a quite sensitive decent soul which comes across in the great songs he has written, I Love Hello again, Play me and I am I said , very personal songs , Here I particularly love I am I said , It’s stripped down or just Neil singing it just him and guitar , Tears in his eyes as he sings , Very emotional for Neil as he recalls his self doubt brings a lot of emotion into his performance, I loved it , Would love to see him just do an acoustic tour , Amazing catalogue , Very real person I feel , no airs and graces just a very open person talking about his fears and emotions , really enjoyed this interview , Respect Neil

I thank God that my life has been touched by Neil Diamond since the mid-1960s, though attending four concerts, countless hours of listening on the radio, records, cassette tapes, and into the 21st century with these amazing interviews with such a kind and soulful man! I took my mother to see him all four times (and once, my nephew Shon went with us, amazed that "his tickets sold out faster than Guns and Roses!!!"), also saw The Jazz Singer twice about 40+ years ago. To me, the best part about him is that his songs and voice and who he is, come through clearer than ever. Brooklyn Roads, Juliet, Coldwater Morning, and so many more, still touch our souls and remind us that God truly blesses us with this man, Neil Leslie Diamond!

I was an elder in the church in Edmonton responsible for the teens. One Friday evening, they went to a members house for an evening of karaoke. I led songs in worship, so I knew I could sing, so I went along, knowing there wouldn't be anything in THAT machine for me. I was old enough to be most of their grand-dads. When all the kids were done butchering most of the songs, they implored me to give it a try. I've only sang karaoke once ... that was this night. There was nothing in there for me, until ..... "Sweet Caroline" came up and I said, "I might be able to sing that one"!! The song went on and on and on and on, when the "machine crowd" was going crazy with wild applause and after about 7 minutes, it came to an end. The owner of the karaoke machine said that I blew the top off the top score!! Thanks Neil. I owe it to you.

He came into the Mayfair Riding and Sport shop on Rodeo dr., where I was working, late 60’s very early 70’s. Had his little child on his shoulders. He was so magnificent and charismatic I froze when he asked for help.i was not quite out of my teens, and used to celebrities, but I just couldn’t speak because his presence was so profound. My older sister was the store manager, and had to push me out of way wait on him. I propped myself up on the display of bell bottoms and just stared at him.He was so kind and sweet to his child and everyone in the store.i got the feeling he was worried I might get fired or something, which I would, if my sister wasn’t the boss, and made a point of sincerely thanking me before he left. I went on to become a makeup artist in music videos and always hoped to meet him again thank him not complaining about me. It never happened. All these years later he seems more lovely than ever. A wonderful human being!God bless his heart. Wonder if he still has the fringe jacket!

Neil is without a doubt the living definition of "cool." I think it's amazing (and super cool, lol) his real name is Neil Diamond - it's perfect for what he does. Most have to come up with a trendy sounding and catchy stage name. Not this amazing performer though. I love to watch Jack Black do his quick little impersonations of Neil; they're hysterical.
