I agree Ian...I was saved in July of 78 at Jesus Northwest. The young people that were serving God back then was stunning, they were everywhere.....fast forward 35 years and I was watching Kathryn Kuhlman on YT when she was ministering (in Las Vegas in 1975)....my right arm was heal of a bad injury (instantly)....a man with middle eastern name had the exact same miracle and testified to it in the comments!

What a joyous time. I was there. Saved on 2/22/70 through a Lay Witness Mission. Kathryn Kuhlman was at a Methodist Pastors’ conference in Dallas in the early 1970’s. My folks and my grandmother were there. One pastor who was ‘forced’ to be there testified that he had heard about Kathryn and wanted nothing to do with her. He volunteered to work in the sound booth in the very back of the large auditorium, as far from the stage as possible. He said that Kathryn looked his direction, smiled and pointed her “long, crooked finger” and the next thing he knew his was on the stage, on his back, crying and laughing. He has been slain in the Spirit, saved and transformed. He said that she never said a word and he doesn’t remember walking to the stage but the power of God moving through her was undeniable. Lord, bring back that anointing in these troubled, challenging times.

I sang in a choir at one of her crusades. She was frail looking, but when she spoke, you knew that the power of God was in her. She could take a lion down with her conviction. It was just absolutely supernatural. A lot of people were healed. I was one of those Jesus people.

I was there when this TV show was made. We all went up to Hollywood with Pastor Chuck Smith to be at her program. She was a nice lady. This was around April 1971. The first two singers are Tom Stipe and Chuck Butler, and Duane Pederson and Pastor Chuck Smith are sitting with Kathryn. Next performers are the Children of the Day.

Ben, in 1979, My Dad gave me the Living bible, and I read it for three weeks straight and was born again in the middle of the night in a profound way. I didn't understand what I was reading at the time, just kept reading the Book of John. Jesus Christ showed up and saved me by pouring out His love, Peace, Joy, sanctification, and purification through His shed blood, crucifixion, and resurrection power. I repented and have never been the same again. Continually being transformed, going from Glory to glory, and falling in love with believing GOD above all others, daily. God is not a man that He shall lie. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!!! thanks for posting! you know, Ms. Kuhlman spoke about the loneliness that can accompany the sanctified life of an evangelist. As she said here she never had children (she actually never lived with the man she married because she realized on her wedding day that it was a mistake and was never consummated). It is clear though that her potential mother's heart just came alive amongst these young believers, asked them to come right up close, and touched their cheeks and hair as she would have had she had her own children. It was truly a blessing and gift to her to have the fellowship of these young believers.

Yes, that just dawned on me recently, i.e. the fact that Kathryn and Burroughs were married seven years and never had any children, and it is very telling. I think there's a high probability that, after Kathryn realized she had made a mistake and was out of God's perfect will, a quality decision was made not to consummate the marriage. (It had been reported that they slept in separate bedrooms).

There is the most amazing holiness personal revival going on right now. It might look a little lonely, but that’s because God is preparing individuals to be dependent on him and not each other, so that we will be able to work with each other according to his will and not our will, when the time comes. The people with the gifts of the Holy Spirit may not be the ones leading the church right now, but they are the ones on TickTock giving their all to God. To the younger people if you pray for God to bring the right people around you, he will, some of them might be through videos, but you’re not alone.

@@ianfrancis777 When I look back how shocked and desperate I was before I watched this video and how happy I am now I don't think that this was pure accident. I also don't believe that the thought to watch something from Miss Kuhlman at that time was just an accidental thought. It was God guiding me and I believe that God has already healed me even though the doctor's report says something else, because our God is an almighty, a wonder-working God and what He says He shall keep, because as He says of Himself: "I am the LORD, who speaks it and does it also - [to establish the foundations of the earth] [...]". He says: "I am the LORD who heals all your sicknesses and diseases." And he healed them all! "God is NOT a man that He should lie, NOR is He a son of man that He should repent."!

Im 55 and just atarted my walk with jesus back august last year. I never heard of this lady till a couple months ago. Love her though. And these people, they have found Jesus on a spiritual level that few see. Its amazing to know our God loves us so much, he shows us sometimes in the little things, and its always amazing to know that he takes the time to onow each of us so intimately. Peaise God 💜

At the time, she was the forerunning Leader of the Charismatic Movement that was sweeping the Church in North America. She had earned the respect of the masses of sincere, loving Christians for such a time as that. Younger Believers, in particular, literally looked up to her with awe because she shined so much of Jesus' love on them.

Sometimes you can feel the Continuous flow of the Holy Spirit on some (not many) Christians. You can also see in some Christians what feels like you’re looking into the eyes of Christ. It’s not about the individual, it’s about God and how that individual has truly allow themselves to become like a candle for the light of Christ. I’m too young to have ever been around this movement or met these people, but I’ve met people who definitely are not attractive but the Jesus inside them is a tractive to the point where you just want to look into their eyes and beg God that you can grow in walking in his presence like that too. One time I was talking to someone who went to first service at church and second service was letting out and I could feel I’m particular people the Holy Spirit and I just couldn’t help myself and I told the person I could feel the Holy Spirit on some people, she then said today we prayed for the Holy Spirit to dwell in our lives, I could literally feel it when the doors open to the church and the people poured out, some, not all truly were filled with the Holy Spirit at my very non-charismatic church.

Major deception entered into this neo-charismatic movement, initially birthed of the Spirit of God. The cultic word-of-faith movement overtook the charismatic movement and many were led astray or lost faith due to this corruption. The good news is, however, that many of the foremost evangelical leaders today can attest to their roots in the Jesus movement of the early '70s, and continue strong to this day.

got tears in my eyes, She reminds me of Arthur Blessitt..who I met in the 90's. I knew he was in town, my work colleagues were saying nasty things while I went over to where Arthur was ministering to some people on the street. I always remember him saying how God has us in the palm of His Hand. Anyway, went back to where I was working and my colleagues were still saying nasty things. I didnt feel angry with them...I just felt this incredible sorrow for them. That 23 year old guy in the video hit the nail on the head...about never being alone anymore.

There is that incredible freedom in Christ, a freedom that sees any of us being able to get alongside all kinds of people...some very dangerous ones too...to get that Message across. Its so sad, much of the 'organised' Church misses the point...even denying the reality of Christs Power to rebuild a person...to restore. Thats right...this world is tearing itself apart. This is so profound when she talks about "have you taken a look in their eyes or touched their hair" back then, older people were disgusted with hippies that entered the church with no shoes etc. This is how the Jesus movement started, someone who had a heart for them and Chuck Smith washing the hippies feet at the door to show the older generation what Jesus would do. I received Jesus in my life in California on a vacation from Hawaii in 1982. I was in to all the drugs and tried everyone of them that passed my way. When visiting Southern California I was invited to a Church called Melodyland Christian Center and asked Jesus to come into my life. Today, I serve Him in worship music and ministers with my wife in the Childrens Ministry. God is unexplainable. It's to bad you cut the acapela of the group, it must have been sweet. Jesus Loves Us and Loves you.

Had the hi honor of attending a Kuhlman meeting at the Shrine Auditorium. A beautiful, sincere person. Was also heavily involved in the Jesus Movement from 70 to 74. That is until the group I was with became a cult. I have come back to Christ since. God Bless

Thank you for sharing your testimony and first-hand impression of Kathryn. She still gets allot of flack. I think the group you may be referring to was Children of God. Apologist Jacob Prasch has a similar testimony: he too got saved as a result of the Jesus People Revival on the East Coast. Got involved with some cultic offshoot of it, then got re-centered with God.

Randy Stonehill had a beautiful humility, and yes, was a product of the Jesus Movement, and a close friend of missionary Keith Green. (His passage was hard to understand). In the early days of Jesus music, it wasn't so much about the dollar. I truly believe that _early Jesus music and of course the Jesus Movement (from which it emanated) were Spirit-born!_
