Finished watching the Coven again and she was phenomenal. I had forgotten I was watching Kathy Bates and just thought I was watching the immortal racist from centuries prior. Angels Bassett rocked. Frances Conroy was spectacular. It’s a tough category. I love Kathy Bates but surprised she didn’t at least give a shout out Angela and Frances who were nominated with her. Granted she did say she was thrown off as she never thought she’d win.

Yeah Kathy Bates is good and everything but Angela Bassett was ROBBED. Her portrayal of Marie Laveau was absolutely phenomenal, there’s no other word for it. Anytime she was on screen, it was electric - especially when she was sharing scenes with Jessica. I’m disappointed she didn’t take home the award for this season because she absolutely more than deserved it.
