What always shocked me is that why none of the fans said something? He looked extremely unhealthy and sick and none of the fans showed worry or compassion or concern. People always wanted something from Elvis but none of the fans cared enough to ask or show concern. I wasn‘t around back than but if I was I would be mortified and not accept him to keep performing on stage but to take a break. Even Elvis‘s fans just used him and didn’t do anything for him, absolutely insane.

@ronw9901...what's your problem? Seems you are still spewing lies told by Priscilla. You don't have to bash Kathy on every comment. She was a lovely lady that Elvis admired. He loved her singing and they did have an affair for 6 months. Elvis told her that he and Priscilla had an open marriage (which they did). Priscilla has admitted by 1968 she was having affairs and by 1970 she was living in LA alone. Kathy later broke it off due to guilt. She has only ever said wonderful things about Elvis. You clearly don't know what you are talking about and I would recommend you do a little research.

Total control? I loved Elvis's music, but he certainly was not in control of his own life; in fact, he was totally out of control the last few years of his life----the eating binges, the drug binges, the reckless spending binges, the inattention to his recording career, the ŕampant promiscuity, etc. Elvis was a tremendous entertainer, but he has been romanticised to such a ridiculous degree that his fanatics have all but elevated him to sainthood. Elvis was a very emotionally immature individual, and the totally ridiculous behavior that he exhibited in just his final two years led to his early demise. Just like Judy Garland, Elvis was a truly tragic public icon.

I understand. When I think of Elvis I get angry. I was born in 1958, so going to see Elvis movies was a big deal growing up. It was a rare weekend that didn't find an Elvis movie playing at a drive-in. I discovered the movies, then I discovered the great music, but it took the 68 TV special to accomplish that to a boy my age. Elvis then started touring again and I saw him at a truly electrifying concert in 1972, but I was crestfallen when I saw him at the 1976 show----in less than four years he had totally let himself go physically.

She basically says that Kathy was one of many women at the time, and I think even Linda at the time. From her perspective she said Kathy knew about everyone else but she didn't appear to care, she would just wait her turn. This was actually a pretty good book in that she praises Elvis over and over again...re his generosity and how much fun he was most of the time. That is kind of weird. About Kathy Westmoreland's book, and him kicking her out. Maybe she knew and was joking around, mentioned it out loud, and he got upset, considering it somehow disrespectful. If she had developed a crush on him, and who wouldn't have, working closely with him and experiencing his charasmatic personality. You would think she would've learned a few major things about him over the years, but maybe it was just such a platonic relationship and then it wasn't. I read the book around the time it came out (if that was around 1987?) though, and it's been so long, I cannot remember much, just that they did share spiritual beliefs, and interests in music. And she did sleep beside him, I think he requested that one evening, and then... Maybe not fast as that or anything. I should've kept all my books, darn it! Then I could look at them again, and tell you what they said.

Ginger, her mom snd sisters went to the funeral. You can find photos of them. At some point soon after Elvis died, Vernon let her know he didn't want her there. I bought some of Elvis' rings from a collector that knew Joe well and was told that Ginger took the jewelry box off the dresser with some of Elvis' nicest pieces. Over the years her husband sold them off to collectors on the DL. Who knows for sure? The maid, Nancy Rooks was on duty and heard a loud argument upstairs several hours before Elvis died. He told Billy Smith to arrange to have Alicia Kerwin on the first leg of that last tour. Lastly, I have read Ginger was in casual clothes and /or she was dressed and made up. One thing I can add, is that Vernon was very suspicious of everyone who was around Elvis around the time of his death. Vernon was thinking of conspiracies. He had the upstairs of Graceland roped off I would not allow anyone upstairs. I put up a video talking about the death of Elvis. There’s a clip of, I believe it was Billy Stanley, saying that it was a common occurrence for the members that were working around the household see Elvis asleep because of pills and just leave them there. He said that Ginger saw Elvis laying there and figured he was just sleeping and went and took a shower and got ready. The title of the video is called “ how long did Ginger wait until she called for help.” It should be under my stories section under the playlists.

from Elvis's point of view it was strictly professional & platonic. the clue is when he states she is affectionate to him & the whole band. nothing personal strictly business.

Every one of these women... it seems, thought "they were the one" in spite of knowing about all the relationships he had. It seems that the most valuable relationship with Elvis, would have to been to be a great friend. I think I remember reading that he and Kathy were having an argument toward the end, and he just said... "I guess you don't want this watch", and she grabbed it. I'm not sure they got to Elvis' soul, but they all got companion gifts. He got the message that he could make everything good if he gave them gifts. I don't think he ever really got what he wanted from any woman he was with in later years. (aside from his mother who "things weren't important to") They all seemed to be like a temporary fix with Elvis. No one has ever known what was really going on in his head when it came to women and relationships. They were companions, he gave all of them a lot of material things, but his thought process would have been the interesting part, why? Did he think they expected it? Probably. It was him rewarding them for spending time with him. It would have been more interesting to get to the core of his thinking process, and what touched him deeply as a human being. Yes, Gospel music. It was all mostly connected to his roots. One constant was his love of books, and what he got from them, they fed his soul, the core of who he was. The rest was superficial after he lost his mother who wanted nothing from him, but she knew how to feed his soul. When Lisa was born, he said, she was the love of his life. He did the superficial on the outside and was just the opposite on the inside which is still so interesting.

pfft! aren't they all? every last person who ever worked w/ Elvis has written books from the cook to the pilot to the jeweler, clothing designer, body guard, doctor etc. Those awful Stanleys have made a cottage family industry off Elvis who they clearly despised. I wonder why the Stanley boy who kept giving his sleep packets the night he died was ever interrogated. They admitted to messing with dosages and stuff. Honestly, these people revealing every detail of Elvis' personal life, disgust me. I am fed up with it and KNOW their betrayal - the West boys & Hebler - contributed to Elvis' turmoil & eventual demise!! After all he did for all of them and their families!! To betray him this way sickens me. Elvis was a good man at heart.

Why didn't Felton record the warm ups ? I like Felton Jarvis but he didn't seem to do much as a producer other than press the record button and supervise overdubbs. Elvis was basically his own producer arranger. Very rare for a producer not to introduce songs to artists who didn't write thier own material as well. The Beatles had George Martin Michael Jackson had Quincy Jones to make what they did better. Elvis basically had Elvis

I dont think Elvis had much of a particular "type". There were many women around him that werent very good looking, to be honest. But he either clicked with you or he didn't. Seems to me that Kathy was between Priscilla and Linda and she had a similar body type to Priscilla...very petite but thick on bottom. My understanding was that Kathy wasn't really into Elvis' music that much. I could understand that considering she was so young and probably into the newest popular thing at the time. But I don't quite believe she didn't know his mother's name. Not knowing just how deep that wound was, she may have thought that having a little fit and saying it would get his attention. She got it alright, but it backfired. 🕺👑❤️🔥

I love you show, I find it very informative, entertaining and educational. More importantly you research your data and it is fact checked Thank You for this!!! Watch another show about the Elvis’s girlfriends in the 70’s and you are so right Linda Thompson was the best for him!!! I done a lot of research myself and unfortunately we hear so much about Prescilla and her, version of herself that she wants the public to believe, so much of this image his misinformation!!! Not the true side of her!!!’ Yes she is Lisa’s mom, but I feel the public saw a different side of her after Lisa passed away! Let’s not forget Linda !!! She was the best for him and I wished the raltionship would have lasted bc Elvis would have been with us for a longer period of time if not still alive today!!! The public should recognize Linda has a major influence in Elvis’s Live!! We should hear more from the relatives and close friends that were a part of his circle! Unfortunately there are not many still alive. But there is information that is available that the people who were close to him, wrote about in articles and books!!
