Saw him live in Finsbury Park - London in 2001 what a fantastic guitar player, one of the greatest of all time and quite often overlooked.

This is a great rendition of "red house" originally performed & recorded by Jimi Hendrix 😊❤

Not many guitarists throughout music history could get even close to replicating the phenomenal Jimi Hendrix but Gary Moore was one of those who could hold his own alongside just about anybody you care to name. Superb musicianship 😊

Getting into some serious guitar greatness now with the late, great Gary Moore and I see some Frank Marino on the horizon. Great choice ladies, both!

Both requested by me tho they failed to mention it but thats :)

@@robertkern9911 , Good choices indeed!! You should get them to react to Frank doing King Bee/Backdoor Man from the Canada Jam circa 1978 if memory serves.

It would be so interesting to see someone react to some of Gary's music from the 60's & 70's. For example with Phil Lynott on The Old Grey Whistle Test playing Don't Believe a Word & Gary breaks a string, yet still plays amazingly or with Thin Lizzy at The Sydney Opera House. Or anything by Skid Row in the late 60's. Just a thought?

Think this was the 50 years of the Strat concert. Loads of famous guitarists showcasing the Fender Stratocaster. Amongst many outstanding performances, this one was amongst the top few. That's Pino Palladino on bass too, who's played on loads of records.

It's definitely the Fender 50 gig , I was at that and can see myself at the end of the song when I'm looking around to see my brother coming back from the toilet , and you can see him walking down the aisle. This was great as he had always insisted that he didn't miss Gary Moore at the gig and then I found this video and it was a rare case of winning a years long argument with incontrovertible evidence. Gilmour was there too and Amy Winehouse among a lot of other interesting people.

@@direnova6284 Think I have it on DVD somewhere, might have to give it a rewatch. Didn't Gilmour have Strat 001?

This is a Blues standard, done by absolutely everyone. But only for the last sixty to ninety years, anyway. I doubt a single word has changed since 1930. It comes from here in Miss'ippi, of course. An absolutely wonderful song!

Funk is a new word to you ? Listen to Stevie Wonder, Rufus, (Song: "Tell Me Something Good") Sly and the Family Stone, Tower Of Power, K.C. And The Sunshine Boys, Ohio Players, Funkadelic, and other bands from the 70's. In fact listen to Play That Funky Music White Boy" by Wild Cherry if you want to know what funk is. However in my opinion, this is blues not funk. But, on the other hand it does have a bit of funky sound to it. I get where Lulu is coming from. P.S. She looks so young, Happy 9TH Birthday Lulu. LOL
