Lzzy Hale and her little brother, drummer AreJay, started the band in 1997, she was 13, he was 10. Their Dad, Roger, played bass in the early days. Guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith joined in 2003 and 2004. Pretty much the only song she uses the double neck, one neck is a regular guitar, the other is baritone. Lzzy usually uses a Gibson Explorer, like the one she gifted to Dany from The Warning. The song is from their 3rd album, 2015's Into the Wild Life. 5 original albums and a bunch of EP's, including 3 EP's of all covers. The band is awesome live, seen them a couple times. Highly recommend going to one of their concerts if you ever get the chance. Lzzy Hale is one of Dany from The Warnings' biggest influences, and Halestorm took The Warning on tour last year, and on that tour, Lzzy gifted Dany a guitar. The drummer and lead singer are brother and sister, and the 4 members have been together since the beginning around 20 years ago. Great band

Lzzy Hale has also sang as a guest with The Hu, Amy Lee and Lindsey Stirling among others. 2022 was their 25th year as a band. Very much a touring machine with over 200 shows in a year on occasion. The guitar she gave Dany from The Warning is one she hunted for with help from Gibson and then her guitar tech and the tech from The Warning set it up with the type of strings and pickups Dany uses. She was paying it forward as she was gifted a guitar from Jason Todd of Shinedown when Halestorm was starting out. And fun fact (I'm surprised I'm the 1st to bring it on the table 😉), do you remember the huge white/cream Gibson Explorer that Dany played on the live version of Enter Sandman you reacted to ? It's a gift from Lzzy, mid show, when The Warning opened for Halestorm during their 2022 US Tour. Lzzy spotted TW on their YT channel, and immediately asked to have them on tour as opening band. The Warning LOVE this band. Halestorm took them on tour in 2022. I see much of Lzzy's persona in Dany. The drummer is Lzzy's brother and has been her drummer since he was 15yrs old. He is great. During the tour he would occasionally play drums for Pau during Narcisista, allowing Pau to show off her out front, stage presence. Lots of Halestorm music to see and hear.

I discovered Halestorm 10 yrs ago. I went to see Halestorm & The Pretty Reckless (Another band you guys need to check out), who were touring together and is how I discovered The Warning, who opened up their show for them. But what you shoud know, Haletorm is a Grammy winning band as they won best Rock Performance in 2012 for their song Love Bite: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ7OeaSLrMZnsMk Also, Lzzy is one of Dany's idols. Saw these live a year ago at a nice small venue. Likely my fave concert. The audience were also very nice. They dedicated their song rock show to a young kid in the audience front row whose birthday it was, it was also her first live concert. They have been playing together since they were kids, the drummer and lead singer are siblings. When we saw them they had technical/guitar problems for a short time and were treated to a long drum solo he even used oversized drumsticks for part of it to show off :)

Seen Halestorm a few times, twice with The Warning. One of the hardest touring bands out there. They do up to 200 shows per year, world wide. How she belts it out as she does show after show is flat out amazing. They do soft to hard rock. "Mayhem" is probably the hardest, and is one of my all time favorite songs, ever.

But i just remembered one female playing the double neck,Ozzy Osbourne friend Lita Ford used to play the double neck. But other then Lita and Lzzy,i dont have any other that comes to mind. I tried googling for Jennifer playing a double neck and it gave me a hit from facebook where she tries to play a 1986 Rickenbacker double neck guitar,and shes expressing her experience like shes thinking she could get the hang of it with practice. So i dont think she plays it reguarly. But yeah,defintly Lita Ford and Lzzy Hale. Oh and Nancy Wilson from Heart posed with a pink coloured double neck once. So there might be 3 right there. Still,extremely rare to see females play the double neck. Apparently its a myth that the guitar is soo much heavier then a standard guitar they say. I havent held one myself so i can neither confirm or deny this,but by looking at it,it surely looks heavier then a standard one. I saw Jennifer having to concentrate abit extra as she had to hold it abit differently then what shes used to.

I got two double neck guitars and I think I Understand why women don’t use them. They are heavy and bulky. There are not so many men that uses them either. Unless you need both a six string and a twelve string for a song they are not the first choice. Marco of Nightwish has a special double neck. The upper is a bass guitar and the lower is a six string.
