@G6JPG2 жыл бұрын
@@waterlily6543 That is indeed a zither - and that's one of the classic pieces for it, by Anton Karas. However, I've no idea how you are confusing it with the theremin: the zither is a plucked or strummed string instrument - like a harp layed down (can also be played with little hammers) - whereas the theremin is like no other instrument, played by moving your hands near it in the air. And Katice is one of the few virtuosi on it. And she is also a violin vortuoso. And she sings (not IMO always the right material, but oft-times very successfully). And she tap-dances! See kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpnUmmpqrrGhpsU I think she may also whistle.

I suppose this one theremin is a good quality one. Logically we have 2 triodes for oscillators, and 2 to 4 more for Low Amplification amplifications. wich brings it to 6 triodes max, but i can see many settings on it so it may have 2 triodes more for effects. Nowadays the same can be done with transistors but nostalgy is a fashion in musical world. AFAIK the sound is NOT better with Triodes.
@G6JPG8 ай бұрын
@@jeanyves5380 By triodes, I think you mean valves (UK)/tubes (US). [A triode is indeed a valve/tube, but not the only sort.] I'm not going to get into the argument about which is better; however, for the theremin, kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJLJYYt4oKeMm7M is Katice playing a 90-year-old one (which must certainly have valves/tubes), and to me sounds very like a cello.
