This is definitely my favorite recording, more so than Perlman's even... Those high notes are so fluid and she makes it look almost effortless! I don't play violin myself, but even after listening to many different recordings, I'm always drawn back to this one. Even the way in which she handles her violin, it's almost just an extension of her arms because they seem to become one in the same. Absolutely beautiful, beyond words.

my wife I moved to Spain we never heard of katica illenyi so we were on KZbin looking for some good music an then popped up Katica after that we both loved the music its on 24/7 are son goes nuts every time he walks in Katica's playing so he just walks in an walks back out .....she's fantastic x

Have listened to this piece from many other musicians. Katica's play is the only one that can bring tears to my eyes again and again. Wow I am still loving it after listening to her play at least a hundred times now. Touch my heart every time! A true musician putting her soul into the performance.

Quand les acteurs arrivent avec les personnes réelles qu'ils formaient, c'est choquant. Surtout le garcon qui devait se cacher dans l'urine. Jamais les enfants ne devraient vivre tel cochemar. Et jamais je comprendrai comment un etre humain est capable de blesser un enfant, que ca soit de la guerre ou pas, il n'y pas d'excuse.
