Queen Katie of Bernardston doesn’t like cars without dressed up wheels. So Steve indulges her one more time in this video.

I love hubcaps Steve, so thanks for making another hubcap video. I've been collecting them since I was a kid, but I try and find homes for the good ones I find nowadays. I usually just give them away and enjoy making owner's smile once in a while.

We had a '73 LTD with the hubcaps at 4:36 when I was a kid. The slots were very effective at catching little pieces of gravel that would rattle around inside the wheel cover as you drove. Dad finally got so tired of it he pulled them off and put a set of generic baby moons from the hardware store in their place.

I remember from my childhood on Wilson Road in Georgia, seeing an old guy, whose name I do not remember, in bib overalls walking the length of the road, about five miles each way, collecting hubcaps. The old shed on his property was covered with hubcaps! "Thanks for the memories."

BIG fan of your videos "all of them" . They are well done - "with that said" it's my 1st time commenting. I usually watch you on the t.v. and it has no way to go in to, or let alone leave comments on it. I commend you and your video "team" for doing a great job. Me being 67 years old, I have seen most everything you talk about but sometimes you come up with a surprise or two. Love them and never miss them. I'm a ford guy but worked on the line at Mopar dealerships for 25 years before retiring last year. Hope your personal overhaul went well. Las Vegas Nevada checking in.

When I saw the previous video of the van/bus and saw the hubcaps in the back, I was hoping for the return of the hubcap game and here we are, Yay!!!! Katie knows best!!! I love all the different styles of hubcaps and wheel covers, in fact I am currently restoring a set of very rare wheel covers for a 1972 Lincoln Town Car. They have a dish style main body with die cast fins and a plastic center cap that is painted black from behind and are very heavy wheel covers. Thanks for bringing back the hubcap game!!!

Steve’s Hub Cap Game blows my mind. How this guy has acquired and retained all this info is stunning. I’m sure I’m not the only one but since Steve has been away I try to just leave my TV on while I’m away and play his videos. I do this in hopes that it helps keep his channel going and give the man a paycheck. This is probably the least any of us that appreciate Steve can do to help him through this tough time. Steve, know you are loved, admired and appreciated.

Steve is correct though. Even though 36,000 were killed in Korea, it was never officially declared a "war" by Congress. My Uncle was on the front line in Korea as a radio operator. He tried to never show it, but it affected him immensely.

My Grandma's '73 Impala had that exact wheelcover. She drove it til she started hitting stuff, then I drove it for damn near ten more years. Had 125,000 on the clock when I blew it up being a dumbass and assuming the squeal I heard was a failing alternator or AC compressor bearing rather than the water pump. By the time the idiot light came on, I had a mile or two til I could safely pull over and it got too hot and spun a rod bearing. It was a 400 small block.

Speaking of hub caps, when I did the body work on my 1977 GMC K-35 (for the 3rd time) a couple years ago, I also removed the 4" lift kit that I'd installed back in 1984. I still have the original 16.5" rims and their hub caps but, I switched to 16" because the tires are easier to find. I wasn't sure if the original "dog dish" caps would fit the 16" rims so, I called a buddy who is the parts guy at a nearby Buick, Cadillac, GMC dealer for any advice before climbing up into the hay loft to try them out. It turned out that they had a complete set of later caps, 2 with hub holes for the front and 2 without holes for the rear. After a short conversation with his boss, I picked up the whole set N.O.S., in their original boxes for $50! One of these days, I'll get up in the barn to try my other ones but, in my mind, $50 was a helluva deal!

I'm going to guess that Katie is a mixed breed woofer. Those make them the best (not that anything is wrong with purebred dogs) for health and temperament. I think anyone (like my late uncle) who fought in the Korean War would disagree. War, conflict, battle, all the same. As others said, Katie is looking for a "dog dish". I just sold three of those for a 1970s Chevrolet Nova to a guy who drove to me from Wooster, MA (he's a salesman and my area is his territory). They were part of a parts lot (NOS and used) I got from my friend when he cleaned out his garage before moving. Close, 2001 on the end of the Plymouth. The last Plymouth was a Neon assembled at Chrysler's Belvedere, IL plant in mid-2001. South Africa, not South America. LOL. I work with a Nigerian man who came to the US in 1982 and coordinates all of our business trips. At the beginning of the trip, he gives us our spending allowance for the trip. The big joke is "Why is he giving us money?". We always joke him, "Hey, this is funny money. You sure this is real?". I've said to him in jest, "Hey, this money has your likeness on it. You sure it's not a naira? (the currency of Nigeria). I think you just printed this, I don't know." That is usually met with a roaring laugh from him and the response, "Hey Chief (what he calls his friends), be careful, the ink hasn't dried yet......". I have an upcoming business trip and he'll always call me the day or two before saying, "Ok, my man. I will meet you at the airport. You ready to go on the road?" I jokingly call him the "Fresh Prince" because one day at the rental car counter he tossed me the keys and said, "Hey Chief, you drive, I'm going to chill in the back seat". I said, "What's this, driving Miss Daisy? Or driving the Fresh Prince of Nigeria around?" He tapped me on the shoulder and said, "C'mon man, I'm the senior citizen here. You young guys need to drive me around.". LOL.

Just because that Korean thing was never declared a war, doesn't mean that it wasn't a war. Nearly 40,000 lost their lives in that debacle. My Uncle was on the front line as a radio operator, and saw a lot of the horror there.

Good morning Steve your hubcap game reminds me of something stupid I did during my teenage years. I went to the beach one day and I noticed some really cool looking moony hubcaps on a car. Well I thought they would look pretty cool on my car so I “borrowed “them. 😊Well one day as I was driving over a bridge I noticed a hubcap rolling in front of me. I muttered to myself who was the dumb ass who forgot to install them correctly. Well that dumb ass was me😄I guess God was giving me a lesson in how to conduct myself in life😊 From then on I have walked the straight and narrow path. Thanks for the memories 🙏
