Hello everyone! Here is the 7th video from my Busking at Universal CityWalk series! Where All Roads End is a song I originally wrote in an open tuning of EADEAD and then I figured it out in standard for gigs. It's been fun watching this tune evolve this year. I took it from a soft folk song, to a belted feminine anthem. It was partially inspired by my experience being a woman in the music industry. I want to experience real love, not a strange power play between the sexes. That's all I will say for now. I can't wait to share this song on a future album as I am mixing it with my friend Patrick Joseph this year!
I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who requests my original songs. Being a street performer is hard at times because not everyone vibes with original music unless it's fast paced, singable, clappable, engaging and familiar. It's finding a balance between entertaining a crowd while still being an artist. Being a good songwriter in my opinion is also about finding the right settings for songs.This could mean setting up the audience to listen to a tune during a street performance or picking a venue where it's primarily a listening room. Whatever the case, I truly believe that as artists we have to believe in our songs at the end of the day. This is what gets people to listen.
