You would know this from daily life if more Americans lived in proper planned cities with street life and a sense of community. Instead everybody pretty much goes between work and home and the stores and when they get home they perceive the world almost entirely through a TV or the internet. That's what's made us so vulnerable to division. Our fierce independence and shunning of interdependence has made us more reclusive and all the screen time has had a huge effect on coloring our view of the world. I hope more people can get out and meet good regular humans, who span the political, racial, religious spectrum. Let's try to find the goodness on each other. And act on the goodness in ourselves.
