Concerning the “climate debate”, I remember a time in the 80’s when the “greenhouse effect” was presented and anyone who questioned those THEORIES was scourged from the conversation completely. While simultaneously flat out ignoring other THEORIES that atmospheric change on a planetary scale just might be more heavily influenced from something much more powerful…the sun. To even pretend that any one body/agency/individual fully comprehends the complexity of a planets weather is bewildering.

And the thing is, there were proven massive holes in the ozone layer...but people don't talk about them anymore because that problem has largely been fixed, primarily through technology and the ozone repaired itself pretty quickly when it stopped being damaged so much. Another issue that people don't like to talk about is, overall, the Earth is greener than it was 100 years ago because as it turns out, a carbon rich environment strongly encouraged plant growth. There are legitimate concerns like the ocean being overfished, but the Earth is really good at fixing crap when ecosystems get messed up. We would only have to designate about 10-15% of the oceans as no fishing zones and we would be pretty safe there. There are microorganisms developing in the ocean already that eat plastic. Most water sources would self clean pretty effectively if we just stopped dumping crap in them, or even just not as much. There are problems, but rarely are they the ones politicians like to push and generally the solutions proposed don't do crap for the environment and make people poorer.

Love her! This year October 2024, She was supposed to do a show at a particular church in the centre of Kings Lynn Norfolk. The church were asked to really seriously think about whether they were going to allow her to talk there, and NOT go and change their minds at a later time knowing her reputation. They were given good time to think about it, and they agreed to her coming to do the show and NOT cancelling the show later. (The show had practically sold out within the first 2 weeks.) About 5 - 6 weeks later they DID change their minds and cancelled. Their excuse was the "political landscape had changed". (I thought whoever was in government should it not make any difference to free speech?? When threatened with legal actions the churches reaction amongst other things was "we have deeper pockets than yours!" So it wasn't about keeping your word and being democratic it was about not being worried or bothered because they have more money than Katie Hopkins. The locals were incredibly angry and in uproar especially about them having not given the choice themselves about whether they wanted to go see her, and also the church using the fact they have more money than Katie as a threat. Remember that when they are raising and asking for money for repairs a new roof etc in your local church. P.S. Extinction Rebellion had previously been allowed to hold a meeting there.
