I am over eighty and have never been familiar with You Tube until recently. One of the first things I watched was that wonderful movie in which I first heard Katie's absolutely mesmerizing voice, and since then, I can't get enough of it. Tonight I watched the Berlin tape, and then the 2008 tapes in which she was only 23 years old. What a classy and talented Lady at such a young age! And even though it they were great shows and she gave so much credit to her band members, my favorite part was at the end when she performed the last solo song.

Katie songs are so meaningful, some are so poinant even in this time were living in(2022). Her songs have been part of my life for over 20 years. Katie's 2nd song reminds me of theatrical jazzy dance numbers in the film "Chicago." (I can almost hear Liza Minelli sing this song.) This song would work in such a production. It would also work out great in a 'Moulin Rouge' type of production (even possibly a slow dance Cabaret number.) I'd love to hear this sung in French, too. Heck, even the 3rd song could work out as a Cabaret dance number, too. Same with her 4th song ...

Melua is a very appealing, energetic PERFORMER and it's too bad she's stuck with such an unimaginative director. While she's dancing around the stage what is he concentrating on? The keyboardist's hands. Most of the shots are dreary and predictable: closeup; from the waist; the violinist's hands; from the back of the hall. Who really gives a damn what the stage looks like from the back of the hall? Boring crap.
