I respect the American culture as far as empathy towards others is concerned but also as a Bharatiya (Indian) I respect our Indian culture as it has got its own essence and the same respect towards others. Yes there are some things which our western friends won't be able to relate to like in our way of expression we don't say thank you or sorry everytime. I have seen people getting annoyed if we do that and its just a different format or style of life.

I was in Australia, so Australian culture is similar to Americans. They keep saying sorry over little things. So I picked that up. When I returned to India, I kept saying sorry all the time. I remember once at work, I said sorry and this rude bitch yelled back at me, as if I did something wrong. I stopped saying sorry after that because I realised that saying sorry in India meant that I gave done something wrong. People were not getting it.

Indian culture is more fake than other cultures. Everything is for show in India. Apne bete ke marks dass bar logo ko batao. Beta kitna kamata hai pucho. Ladki kali hai. Ladki kiske saath jati hai, sex karne umar hone ke baad bhi maa baap ki zingado bhar suno, everything is wrong in indian culture. Indian men don't even know basic cooking. Indian boys mummas boys till the age of marriage. American kids get independent at the age of 16 and leave the house and American parents don't expect anything in return from their kids because that's how it should be. Kids didn't have choice to get born in this world. You chose to bring them in this world and it's your duty to raise them not vice versa . How can you expect them to take care of you ? You're a selfish person if you think like that.
