@@MakynziCalderbaby mittens aren’t like the mittens kids or adults wear in the winter. They are very thin cotton and you put them on infants hands so they don’t scratch themselves. Newborn fingernails are extremely sharp and they don’t get a manicure before they leave the hospital 😂.

Burp cloths are always a great thing to have on hand, babies always spit up or night have a crazy blow out lol. I would put a ziplock bag or a wet/dry bag just in case. Also don’t forget wipes 😊

You did an amazing job packing her bag.. I always packed a bag with this stuff as well. I liked to dress my girls in their own clothes. And yea u may not need a lot at the hosp but helps to pack cuz u never know if the baby could be allergic to their diapers and stuff so that way u have some Incase.. plus you will need the bag for the ride home for just Incase so you did amazing

One thing I suggest is the pj with the feet on them footie pjs my 2 baby’s lived in them super easy to change especially the ones with the 2 way zippers and they stay warm , !!

Baby nail clipper kit and coconut oil for the first poop bc it’s so sticky. 💝 Also, don’t forget lip balm for you. My lips were so dry during and right after labor.

Such an amazing job packing the bag! Later on in the future you may need a thermometer just incase because better safe than sorry and a nose suction because her nose will get stocked up. These are more for like month old babies but at the same time could be useful for a newborn! You will be such an amazing mom❤

Both pumps are great! I recommend looking up spectra’s power pump guide! I followed that and it helped with my supply if you are needing help with that! Congratulations on baby girl! Can’t wait to see her!

I still have my muslin cloth from when I was a baby, it's so meaningful since I've had it so long!! It would be so cute if baby girl keeps one of her cloths and if not, you should keep one after she's grown out of them because it's such a meaningful memory ❤

The muslin blanket will be good to go over her when in carseat you want her protected even if its hot! You will need the carseat brought up to the room as they do a carseat test before you leave(just make sure her o2 stays the same, ect).

You need to put some water wipes in your diaper bag. Also as a mom of 3 soon to be 4, i reccomend adding one of the zip up footed pj onesies. You covered most of the basics already. ❤

Look into using water wipes! I haven’t personally done research but I have heard they changed the ingredients in them and they aren’t as amazing as they used to be! They used to be amazing for diaper rashes and sensitive skin but now seem just like all the other wipes

Your doing good ! Wipes, and more outfits, she could have a blow out and I use to carry three outfits. Baby powder is something else we used , baby lotion and bath wash. ❤❤❤❤ Good luck for the birth. The best advise I got before going into birth was “ remember it will end! “ I guess you could compare it with a really hard work out where you feel like your dying and you push through because you know it’s going to end. Do the same thinking with the labour. I’ve had three labours and my easiest was my second no drugs . First and third I had the epidural and it slowed the process down. But the epidural was good too. You’ve got this, excited for you both and congratulations 🥳.

Coconut oil or Vaseline to put on their bum to make it really easy to wipe off the sticky poop and not hurt her bum, it’s really sad when they’re bleeding from wiping off their first poops

Happy for you i have a tip for you and other moms out there if your planing to go without the epidural bring a comb with you to the hospital hold it in your hand while you have contractions it helps alot i promise ❤ i am a mom of 3 soon to be 4 😊 it helped me everytime

Awesome job packing her bag! Baby mittens do not stay on because they have tiny wrists. Onesies with built in covers are amazing. Please do not put a blanket over the carseat it will create a very warm environment for baby girl. I suggest just using the shade that comes with the carseat and has an opening for air flow. I hope you have a great labor and delivery!

I would also had a long sleeve onesie of two cause babies get cold in the hospital. And well as a swaddle or two that are softer then the rough blanket they Gavin you to wrap your baby in at the hospital

Diapers bag is good! Might need a good amount of mittens especially if she keeps hands in mouth or spits up on them. Other than photo shoot clothes being pretty much only footed onesies so no need for socks, onesies with built in mittens are the best. They provide all of stay with disposable bottles so you’re good there. And they give burp cloths but good to have own for car ride especially if she spits up. Oh and night gowns that are light weight and comfy are the best for 2-3 nights which both ways to deliver you will want anyways. Especially since epidural can make you have an itchy side effect and hospital gown makes it worse. Oh and maybe shower shoes the warm water I liked a lot to help me go to sleep since birth makes it hard to calm down and get your rest. But that is just me personally ♥️

I would put a diaper caddy in your bedroom, you will find it to be very handy instead of having to make trips to the nursery each time, I put snacks for myself to help with breastfeeding, diapers, wipes, rash cream, nasal aspirator, nail clipper, burp cloths, and a few more things I can't remember everything bc it's been almost 3 years since my daughter was born! But you did very good with the nursery and packing the diaper bag, bring a few more mittens bc they scratch their face a lot and extra socks bc their feet get cold! Congratulations youre gonna be such a good mommy, cant wait to find out her name! Praying you have a smooth and easy delivery ❤️

After two boys 9 & 7 unless they upgraded them the mittens wouldn’t stay on socks did but most of the time we used the outfits that had the sleeves that flipped

Hi Katie, I'm not sure if you meant the muslin to cover baby girls legs and actually go over her or use it so shade from the sun but it's actually dangerous to use them for shelter and can cause baby to overheat. They call it a greenhouse effect where it limits air flow and causes temperatures to rise. Hope the labour goes smoothly for you! X

I’ve recently heard about the owlet sock I wish I had it when my babies were born it tracks there heart rate and oxygen levels during the night and will alert you if they get low. I spent to many sleepless nights worrying about there breathing.

I think you did great with packing. Don’t leave it in the car especially with how hot the weather is where you are, it can ruin the diaper quality and turn them….crunchy!? It’s so weird! Also, you don’t want to have someone break into the car and steal it. You will need a bottle and diapers and wipes and who knows what else when leaving the hospital. Bring an extra outfit for her just in case there’s a blow out as you leave, or you stop anywhere. Get lots of rest now. In the hospital it’s non stop checking on you and baby so it’s very difficult to actually sleep, and your body is going through so much. I’m so excited for you! I had my first at 39 weeks + 4 days, but 2nd pregnancy. Seeing this video gave me some excitement back for things to look forward to this pregnancy. I’m currently 18 weeks + 5 days with our 2nd baby. It’s been so different this pregnancy. Very scary. She’s on my left and they thought it was a non tubal ectopic pregnancy but she’s going to be okay!! Can’t wait for the name reveal. Umm hospitals are very secure here in Arizona they have cops roam the parking lots and she’s not gonna put it in the car until baby is close to getting here and their car sits in their garage anyways
