This week was W I L D. My pump broke. A guy threatened to blow up Half Price Books. I got questioned by the police. I finished two books and got half way through a third. I am full of emotions.

This whole vlog was a whole rollercoaster holy sh*t that situation in the bookstore??? All because of a mask??? I can't with cis white men, said what I said 🤷🏼‍♀️ I want to thank you for talking so openly about your diabetes and your struggles with it, as someone with a chronic illness it means a lot to see other people to just live with the effects and medical equipment and the annoying things because of it. Also when you dropped it, and you just being done with yourself. Actually me today when I dropped the second plate after already dropping one an hour earlier 🙄🙄🙄 I LOVED written in the stars, as someone that's in a sapphic relationship myself this fake dating pride & prejudice retelling was just everything. I listened to it on audio but I need a physical copy!! And YES do a Katrina Leno reading vlog!!! Summer of Salt was my absolute favourite read last year from page 1 I knew it was a fave I love when that happens. And loved Horrid as well Ill never look at roses ever the same again!! Need to get my hands on you must not miss as well because that cover 😍 and her writing style is everything so I know I'll love it ! So can't wait to see and hear your thoughts in a vlog

I didn’t really know anything about Diabetes so this was really informative for me, I’m glad you got it all sorted out in the end. That guy in the bookshop was crazy, I feel like I’ve seen so many news stories about things like that happening abroad and it’s crazy, those things thankfully don’t really happen in the UK where I live. I’m a nurse, I don’t have diabetes but my god you poor thing! I can only imagine how stressful that is!! Especially those ‘what if’ situations that are so scary! Hopefully everything sorts out as quickly as possible

Gahhhh I’m so sorry about the pump issue. My brother has had a lot of issues with his medtronic pump and they’re expensive as hell!!! Also scary when you don’t have long acting handy. He’s been on a pump since 2008!

Lol I LOVE how at the beginning of this you told anyone without diabetes to shut their mouths!!! I say that to people sometimes, when they try to tell me what my A1C should be, what I “should” be eating. Or the best is when they say “ohy husband has type 2, YOURS IS WORSE since your type 1” or what about “I could NEVER take needles everyday!” I just started saying back, “so you would choose to suffer and die!?” Lol obsessed with your channel and more so since I have type 1 too so I love hearing anything you say about diabetes because I obviously relate!

Aww, I can so relate. I had problems with ordering my pump supplies and I had to take pens for two weeks. I've run high entire time as I need the minute doses the pump provides. I have the exact same model as yours too. I can also relate with the memory issues with fluctuations. Monstress looks good, I've been curious about it myself but love the art.

my T-Slim pump malfunctioned and stopped working like a week ago when my blood sugar was already high and it took like 2 days for me to get a new pump and those were the most stressful 2 days of my life

I have a chronic illness and you probably know what I mean when I say sometimes it feels like you're the only person dealing with crap like this (even though you know you aren't) or you complain too much because no one else talks about it but it's such a big part of your life. I am so sorry you are dealing with so much with your diabetes. I just found your channel and I am so glad I did . So glad you were able to get new pump and I wish you had it sooner 🥲. I hope you have an amazing weekend and week ahead . That dude at the bookstore was super scary . Their was a jerk like that at the barns and noble I went to who would not wear a mask . He was yelling and acting a fool . On a personal note I deal with health issues due to a missing chromosome(Turner Syndrome )that increases the risk of type 2 diabetes.

I am so so so looking forward to them! For some reason on Libby it says you can't read the second volume on Kindle. You have to read it on the phone which is so unfortunate cause you can't really get the imagery that way. I'm wondering if I should just buy them instead? Hmmmmmmmmm. I actually ended up giving the first volume 4 stars because I just had a feeling that the second one was going to be so much better. I can sense it. Ha. It's somehow going to elevate itself even higher.

I am sure you probably know this already but if you put on a clear nail polish before staining colors it wouldn't yellow your nails. I always pretend I am zombie when I take off a dark purple color 🤪🥴🥴🥴. Yeeeey bath time reading🛁. I love to be able to do it more but my heart feels like its about to jump out of my chest

@@KatieColson oh ok glad to be of help. Any dark tone colors that you notice stain your mail you can pain a clear/ top coat on before hand and it wouldn't stain. Also sometimes really dark colors stain things if you drag your nail against something and finishing up with a clear/ top coat can prevent that. Also can add real nice shine to dark tones especially for me as my darker skin tones down most dark colors. Have fun!!! 💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿

My brother has type 1 diabetes. He is very little and sometimes it's so confusing bc my parents do everything to keep his blood sugar at the right level but the blood sugar is like YEET and we don't know why bc the pump is all right but sometimes the pump is broken or sth so yeah....this is weird
