I liked it but the sex scenes were too much for me. Too much. You put it exactly right by saying what's in my head is better than what's in the book

As for new acotar series books coming out, I think illumicrate will try their darndest to do the same for them as acosf. They'll do a special box seperate fr the subscription and usually they offer it first to the people who bought the previous books, so their series will match

Personally I enjoyed how she handled the women connecting over SA. As a survivor, I have found that SA is so unbelievably common but just not talked about and when you open up and talk about it, other survivors also feel safe enough to share their stories. It’s something that I experience first-hand. But that’s just my view.

I loved this vlog!!! I share so much of your emotional journey on this book, except for your comments at 27:50 , every person deals with SA in a different way and I've personally seen people talk about it in the same way the characters do in this book, so, as annoying as it may seem, it's a coping mechanism. I think being able to speak about it make gives the person a completely different perspective and a kind of confidence they since had lost entirely, Sarah was just too real for this and i love her for it.

my goodreads review ** spoiler alert ** ???? ok? can’t believe this book was longer than acowar. i honestly think it’s ridiculous. the only reason this book is three stars is because of the moments i got to see with feyre and rhysand. maybe that isn’t fair but i don’t care. nesta was obviously full of guilt and grief but i’m not buying it. i didn’t like it and i didn’t care for her character, i only held interest in her relationship with feyre and how their relationship would progress. i don’t care about her dumb ass training arc that lasted 800 fucking pages? who on earth told mrs author that THIS plot was worth 800 pages. i don’t care about how horny nesta is, how much she weighs, what friends she’s made along the way and if she’s sung jinwoo from solo levelling with a stupid personality. i honestly didn’t give much of a shit regarding her relationship with cassian either. cassian was fun in the other books but now i’m just bored of the way he was presented in this book. mostly because the majority of this book he was just horny and worried for nesta, feyre and rhysand. i don’t give a shit about some dumb murder hike they all went on centuries ago and imagine my surprise when guess what, nesta is going on a murder hike with her new found family. what a surprise. nesta and cassian. their whole relationship just felt so hollow to me. sure there was obvious buildup in the previous books but ugh how can i even put this into words. cassian i can tolerate but nesta makes me want to gnaw off my own arm. she makes friends with the spirit of a house, let’s her little sister go out hunting in the forrest during winter as a CHILD due to her own stubbornness, reads smut, lives off of the same younger sisters money (back when they were poor and in a cottage living off of her little sisters kills and again in her little sisters court), insults people over and over. and then, she starts exercising with a hot warrior and has to stack bookshelves and then gets to fuck him and WOOOWWWW she’s all better? am i the only person who just isnt interested? i didnt enjoy one second reading her perspective and all the justifications and redemptions near the end. obviously my opinion isn’t important and this is just how i feel so i don’t want anyone seeing this review and start shredding into me saying i don’t understand her character and what she’s been through and her thought process and grief and guilt and blaahhhh blahhhhhh blahhhhhh I. DON’T. CARE! be stubborn all you want but like BE SENSIBLE?? your family is literally in poverty and starving and you decide to put your little sisters life in jeopardy due to your own stubbornness and decide to just not contribute and waste money on trinkets and frilly things. AND THEN, your little sister gets abducted (to nestas credit she did try searching for feyre so don’t accuse me of being blind) and then tortured and you don’t offer her much comfort. AND THEN it turns out she was in an abusive and controlling relationship which then it’s revealed in this book that she didn’t really care when she found out how tamlin had treated her sister. and then started verbally attacking your sister after she came back from that same abusive lover to protect her. and then BLOW ALL HER MONEY. it’s just one thing after another with nesta, glad she’s mended her relationship with her sisters and i’m glad everyone’s happy and all is right in the world but that doesn’t mean i have to like nesta just because her sisters do. ok nesta rant over i’m very curious about eris and his story… tamlin was hilarious in this book i love seeing his pathetic ass brooding. and now my favourite, azriellllll. he was a treat in this book, him and elain (including feyre and rhysand obviously, goes without saying) SAVED THIS BOOK. and obviously, the ending regarding feyre and rhysand and baby nyx. honestly there were tears in my EYES. the only time i ever had tears well up in my eyes while reading this book series was when father archeron died and the childbirth/feyre almost dying. pretty sure the whole childbirth part of the book saved this read for me. made the whole book worth the absolutely dreadful plot. if i wanted to read about a girl training i would read a fuckin adventure sword fight my little pony friendship is magic book. i am reading the acotar series not watching i’m a celebrity get me out of here. am i losing it??? found myself skimming a lot of info dumping, this felt like reading a book instead of being immersed into a world. this book felt like a CHORE just so i could get snippets of the characters who made it barely worth it. whatever, if people like it they like it. also the passage where nesta was imagining a threesome with azriel and cassian, that made enduring nestas pov worth it. well then.
