I've been trying to clean out my supplies of things I rarely/never use, and the embossing powders were in that box. I say WERE in that box. Now, they are back in with the truly insane amount of art tools/media I have. Mixed media is a wonderful thing unless you don't have a spare barn to turn into a studio/warehouse. Which I don't. I can't have friends over to my house any more. There's no room for visitors. You, Katie, are NOT helping my social life. (but you're definitely helping me become a better artist.) Thanks!

I love all your pieces, I’m in Australia and I find all art supplies are very expensive or hard to get here, ur so lucky at the range and price u get, I love watching u, u make it look so easy, and u r so happy to just play around, never stop having fun, and creating beautiful art, I’m so jealous 😔

The confusing branch is actually one leaf fashioned to look like a spoon... (probably an oak leaf. The group of five leaves that look like Mary Jane are actually a Chestnut Leaf cluster. The Chestnut Tree is now an endangered species of tree in North America. The stamp you used was a Maple. The stamp that looks like a pear or one of your cutters is an Elm leaf. Thank you so much for the inspiration, Katie. I am so impressed with your talent. ~Bethany McKittrick btw, I received a package of colored sheets of foil from China today (Ebay)... 4-5" x 4-5" roughly in size... they are begging for clay to adorn them...

Another real beauty!! ❤ The colours are just so gorgeous and Autumny (am in the UK 😁)!! I never noticed the wee chip in the intro 😀 great save!! Was good to watch your process and trouble shooting on the fly. I am so impressed with your creativity; your designs are amazing. Great ideas and techniques. My jaw drops a notch after each new video and I'm struggling to pick a favourite, love them all. Keep up the good work .... but make sure and get your sleep!! 😄🤗😊

As I've told in other videos if you dont need it feel free to fast forward or change the playback speed faster but if I cut parts out for those who need it wont be able to have it and those who dont need it can skip. I'm mainly going for helping the starting artist so cutting things out for the sake of time does not help them learn esp if that's the part they needed and I didnt think they did ya know

Another stunning piece. I do paper crafting and use an anti static powder bag ( cotton tea bag with cornstarch inside, would work) to dust my cards prior to using versamark clear sticky ink. When you add your embossing powder and tap it off, there will be much fewer stray pieces of embossing powder to brush off. Check out any of the stamp companies (scrapbooking.com, hero arts, altenew, etc) to find the embossing powder bag, or make your own. I am new to polymer clay and sometimes feel overwhelmed - but, am learning so much from you and really appreciate your videos and your sharing your fabulous talents.

Hi Katie! Ignore my foil or flake request! Sorry, I just found your autumn foil leaf tutorial with the Goulding flakes gift. Sorry they came all messed up! The UPS and the USPS sure do a lousy job of late. Thanx for this wonderful tutorial! Yup, I’m a gramma with old plastic containers in the fridge too! HaHa! Lol! 😂👍🥰😉👵🏻🤷🏼♀️

Would you have distortion with the resin if the pendant was thicker?
@katiegordon6105 жыл бұрын
With this resin I have had quite thick pendants and because it is quick curing and to dome it pulls the resin from the edge to the middle it distorts only ones I have not had it on w this brand is like a cabachon which is solid and thick but again I dont mind it if u do get a slower curing resin and that will stop it

Not sure when you will see this, but how do you clean your resin brush?
@katiegordon6105 жыл бұрын
I wasnt using a brush it was a silicone brush so its like rubber and just wipes off if u r using a brush then just wrap it in tin foil as long as it doesn't cure it's fine just keep it out of the light and designate it for resin, normally I use toothpicks but figured rather than throw those away every time I could use a silicone sculpting tool
@sandrajones46565 жыл бұрын
Katie Gordon thanks for that. I did think of using a silicone brush and forgot I had thought of it. Thanks 😂

Thank you for sharing this with us Katie! It's a beautiful pendant. I have another kind of random question for you- would you mind telling me what type of nail polish you use and, more importantly, if you use a top coat of any kind can you please tell me exactly what it is? I know you paint your own nails & I noticed that the polish you put on at least a few days ago still looks really nice. I paint my own nails also & I just feel so much better when they're nicely polished but they become chipped & raggedy looking within 24 hours or less. It doesn't matter if I use the crappiest cheapest polish out there or the more well known & more expensive brands. I have also tried every single top coat I could find in my local stores. Some of them work better than others but none of them prevent chipping for even a full day. I've tried putting multiple top coat layers on & have even layered multiple brands of top coats at one time. Before polishing i wipe my nails down w/ 99% alcohol to clear off any crap & to get the polish to adhere better but it doesn't seem to make a difference, none of it. My job doesn't require me to work roughly w/ my hands or anything & when I clean my apartment or do the dishes I put gloves on, just to try keeping my polish in tact, but that doesn't seem to matter either. I despise my hands, I have chubby little sausage fingers & I don't know what the hell happened to my thumbs but they are in no way normal looking, so the only way I can feel slightly less self conscious about them is by having them nicely polished. But I either have to redo them every day or just say screw it & not bother & have them looking crappy till it all just chips off. I'm sorry to go on about it for so long but it drives me freakin crazy & I obviously don't know when you last painted your nails & for all I know you may have redone them since the video you did right after, but it looks to me like you MAY have found a solution to this problem. And if anyone else happens to see this & happens to have any advice to offer I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you so much and, again, I apologize for my random rambling

I'm hard on my hands at work maybe wash my hand a min of 50 times a day working in the mouth can be nasty even w gloves I do touch up little chips on the tips theough out the week but usually only paint on Sunday and it makes it usually until Sunday but I found a great top coat on Amazon its seche vite I'll post it on my ambassador page on Amazon which is in the link in this video I'll call it personal stuff people asked about lol
