Ever since mid-December, Trader Joe's has been BORING and has hardly released any NEW items to their stores. In the theme of being boring, we decided to shake things up. Watch to find out what we mean...

Hi again...Jersey cows are a wonderful breed of dairy cow. I used to work on a farm for awhile, and I milked two Jersey cows twice a day, and processed their milk as well - making homemade butter in the kitchen, and other things. Jersey cows have a very high proportion of cream in their milk. Holstein cows, for instance, have a much lower proportion of cream in their milk, so that is why they are more commonly seen in dairy farms. I don't know where the cheese was produced, as I haven't seen it, but it may be from a farm which specializes in Jersey cows, or it could also come from Jersey, which is where the Jersey cows originate. Jersey is part of the United Kingdom, but it is located in the Channel Islands near the top of France. I hope this helps. PS Jersey cows are also very attractive! I think they look a bit like Bambi, the deer, but in cow form!

My husband and I started walking and hiking this year. Being outside has been awesome, and we both feel so much more relaxed, and healthy. Our only problem is that we live in Northern Illinois, and now the snow and cold are here (next week Monday and Tuesday the high is 1 degree!) So, we are trying to figure out what to do. We don’t really want a treadmill because the fun of it for us is doing it together. ~Dana who’s dreaming of spring.

It's never boring spending time with you. I also have wavy, textured hair and I haven't blown it smooth but twice in 2023. It's naturally white now. What's so special about Jersey cows? The Jersey is the most profitable cow for today's dairy business. She produces a pound of milk components at a lower cost compared to the other major breeds. She has little or no calving problems, greater fertility, a shorter calving interval, and earlier maturity.

This was such a fun taste test. I like to do the green onion pancake with egg, three cheese blend and the crunchy onion oil as like a wrap. The Trader Joe’s closest to me doesn’t let you do the single alcohols because of the liquor laws in San Marino, but I can go to any other one within like 10 min of there and be able to. So odd. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Green onion pancakes have always been one of my go-tos at TJs. I cook them in the oven and they can get a little greasy. Eat them with soy sauce. I'm going to try them with the egg. Katie, my hair is also wavy. Although it's still thick, it's thinned out quite a bit as I've aged and the waves are more prominent. I, too, just let my hair dry naturally. However, I have a big problem with tangles. Congrats, Tim, on your reading. I'm a lifelong reader, but since the pandemic, I've struggled to concentrate. Like you, I'm working on it.

We are all on the internet too much. I am reading also and doing other things to not be on too much. I started incorporating more organic shampoos, body wash, aluminum free deodorant, and more organic foods. I also am doing the Gut Renew shakes from Suzanne Somers and it is helping realign my gut and it takes away bloating.I make them from what her book has. It is unsweetened almond milk, the Gut Renew powder, a cup of frozen fruit and ice. They are not only good for you they fill you up so you don't want to eat alot. I have for years walked on my treadmill everyday for 60 minutes. That is my time to myself. Katie your hair looks good. I am good about keeping to something. Jersey is an island that is apart of the UK, situated between England and France. That's what New Jersey is named after. I've started brushing up on my French by using my DUO lingo app. I'm very out of practice, but I've surprised myself by how much I actually remembered, which is exciting. I've also gotten back into my habit of using a planner to keep myself more organized. I know it may seem strange to consider those two things as self care, but it's self care along the personal development lines, which I think is still self care.

Yes! So here are a couple tips that are absolute musts and a great start: Before you wash your hair oil it 30 min before or even the night before and sleep in the oil. The OGX miracle coconut oil from target is what I use. Make sure so double wash with shampoo when you oil but only suds your scalp and not the ends. If you use too mush oil it won’t all come out so experiment with the right amount for your hair. Hair masks are amazing and in between I use K18 which is the biggest game changer for my bleached hair. I used to think washing my hair less (like once a week) was good but o found that I was having extreme hair loss! The reason was an unhealthy scalp. I started washing more like every 2-3 days and have seen a huge difference in hair growth and mush less fall out. There is so much more but I recommend following Abby Young. She is THE hair goddess guru and she’s who I follow to get all these great tips.

I want to urge everyone here to go try TJ’s okra snacks as I’m terrified that they will discontinue them. 😂 They are very low sodium, low in calories and carbs, high in fiber, and pretty high in protein. I know that doesn’t sound too enticing, but they are actually really good and crunchy. When I see another person in line with them, we always bond over how much we love them. For me they are the perfect substitute for chips with a dip like hummus. Word of caution, however- - they sort of shatter when you bite into them, so if you don’t want crumbs all over your shirt, hold a hand underneath.
